There is one local to me and the owner claims it to be a Bluebird, but it looks like a 510 2DR to me. Has the badging and is LHD. L, PL and WPL (wagon) is the typical prefix for a left hand drive 510's made for the North American market. (P cars get the L16 over the L13) The L is missing from JDM right hand drive cars. I don't know what the European car VINs were. The cars were called 1600's, not 510's or Bluebirds. (Europe is left hand drive like us) N, P, KP, KH etc are prefixes for various Bluebirds in Japan. I don't know what the British car VINs were. The cars were branded 1600 there, as in Europe. I am not sure what the vin numbers are for South African cars (did they have coupes and sedans or just coupes?) I have a pic of a Mexican 510 vin and it is NL510TXD-____________ There were cars made in Japan that were left hand drive. They were made specifically for servicemen on base. There is one listed on the previous 27 pages here - can you find it? I don't remember if it had JDM lights and badges or if it has USDM lights and badges. All that said, my guess is that the wagon above is a 510 wagon - not a JDM bluebird. But I suppose someone could have converted it. People here convert their 510's to Bluebird spec so why not the other way-round? As for why it's jacked up in back? (I know you didn't ask) That's a "thing" in Japan.
