4perrev
The goods are rolling in. Sweet snap-on handle! This thing is sick man, just sick. I definitely need to get a better job to keep up. Nice work! 1 Quote Link to comment

tr8er
I can't imagine clicking the buy button on NOS hoses. 1 Quote Link to comment
edekalil
And then for fun my custom Tag for my Snap On box and some junk i just got. NOS hoses whens the last time you saw those. Now that's what I need is a nice BIG tool box to organize my tools. 1 Quote Link to comment
shacks510
I can't imagine clicking the buy button on NOS hoses. Considering new rubber Gates hoses are available anywhere... I was happy to see a 510 specific lower hose was available. 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Considering new rubber Gates hoses are available anywhere... And I'd be a little worried about an NOS hose. If it's 10-15 years old, it may be too dry-rotted to be trusted... 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Well, is it NOS or just factory Nissan? ^_^ Although I get the feeling the braided hose stopped awhile ago... 1 Quote Link to comment

They are factory NOS hoses. I also just got NOS rear cargo and windshield rubbers also. And the one for the under hood by rhe cowl Quote Link to comment
Rick-rat
When you seldom drive your Datsun, it doesn't matter if the hoses are no good, as long as it's NOS 2 Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker
Funny guys. But so true. And I don't know if I will ever put coolant back in. Quote Link to comment
shacks510
I got a hood seal from an e30 but it's a little too thick. The hood bows up in the middle when it's latched. 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
They are factory NOS hoses. You know the O in NOS means OLD right? 2 Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Sometimes NOS parts aren't worth it. Would you drive on "NOS" bias ply tires from 1970? I wouldn't use an old rad hose either, even if it looks ok. I had a hose on my L16 that looked perfectly fine, but it popped once the there was pressure in the cooling system. Luckily it was in my driveway. If parts that can wear out are available new, use them. Just my two Lincoln's. Quote Link to comment
Draker
I've got a NOS upper hose. It was in the package and still nice and pliable. Like new rubber.. nothin to worry about. 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Keeping in mind... it's not from 69.. it's probably from the 80s 1 Quote Link to comment

edekalil
Although the NOS hose's are very nice I would use brand new ones for your build. Just the way I am with that stuff. Or just keep a couple of gallons of water and a new set of hoses and a screwdriver on hand in the car if you ever need it. Being stranded is no fun NOS or NOT. Loving your build Tanker, Happy T Day. 1 Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker
So doing a crank trigger is more work then i thought. But its moving in the right direction. The crank pulley is ment for a 240Z so the sheave for the belt is closer to the timing chain cover then on a standard L block or 4 cylinder. so new 240z water pump and a water pump pulley made by none other then DatRod and its a done deal. Just got get my Alternator bracket. 5 Quote Link to comment
