Charlie69
Nice Score Welcome! Looks like your dad drove the tire and a wheel right off that truck. Does it have a gift card in the glove box for a set of tires and wheels? LOL Quote Link to comment

lbrooks6174
planning on keeping it as stock as possible with a few minor upgrades, I am having issues with the Hitachi carb not wanting to idle, I believe it has picked up some trash from the feed line from the pump. today I picked up a new fuel pump and Sunday I will clean carb again hope it will fix the idle issue I have found this carburetor is very temperamental but it is 41 years old. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Before you install and run the new fuel pump it would be a good idea to drop the fuel tank and clean it and the lines out. They are notorious for being rusty. The crap in the carb came from the tank and lines most likely. 2 Quote Link to comment

mcordero8
Looks like some one found some goodies. That's a nice bezel. It is hard to find one that has not been hacked up. I would try to find an original radio and install it and if you want to put a higher end on I would put it in the glove compartment. 1 Quote Link to comment

lbrooks6174
figure an update is in order been doing a lot of electrical works dash lights gauges and external lights installed my new dash trim. it had a broken exhaust pipe fixed that and while under there noticed center support bearing was shot so i replaced that to. then alternator took a dump replaced that. I am happy to say i drove it to work today 31 miles one way it drove great i do need to tweak the throttle return spring. snapped some pics while at work figured its a fitting place to take it. 3 Quote Link to comment
