floyd17
If this is intended to be a jab at Ratsuners, I could easily point out the American version of the Ratsun, the RAT ROD.. Both vehicles are based around being thrown together with random pieces, and making it work. 1 Quote Link to comment
floyd17
this may be a GM thread... But this isn't a GM forum, or a Yota forum... Go hate on yota stance over in a yota forum... Quote Link to comment
Chuck Most
Hate on Yota stance all you want, but you can't deny Yoda stance. 3 Quote Link to comment

paradime
Still better than the Yugo. That thing didn't come with an owners manual, it had a bus schedule in the glove compartment. Quote Link to comment
Komeuppance
I'm sure a Nissan has been slower than a dodge truck also. And they still are, 99% of the datsuns on here... lol. The owners are too busy posting BS instead of fixing their brokeback cars. -Robert Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Toyota Racing Development.... TRD. No wonder they rejected the original name... Toyota Universal Racing Development. Years ago...I was on my way to work. I worked at Beaverton Nissan at the time. Driving my Nissan Maxima at the time; hot car. I was cruising along, 55-60. Whatever. I got passed by a stock Passat. Vanity plates on this VW said TRD RPR. I thought about that plate all day long. I just couldn't get it out of my mind. For years now, TURD RIPPER has always stuck in my mind. Lol. 1 Quote Link to comment
Chuck Most
I may have posted this already, but that reminds me of my all-time favorite vanity plate. Nowhere near as epic as Turd Ripper, but still... 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
No. My dad had a '51. I have owned... '55 (6 cylinder) owned and sold and later bought it back '57 283 4 speed '65 chev '65 Pontiac But these were when gm made real cars. But my 620 has a slip shaft from a chevy van in it. Chuck Most
The goodness of the International parts offsets the shit-tastic suck factor of the GM parts. That's my theory, anyway. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Almost before my time B P O all had their own engines and racing history. GM saw this as unnecessary internal competition and began to standardize the running gear. My friend's dad had a '62 Poncho with... yup... a Chev 283 in it. When Olds tried this (in the 70s?) there was push back from loyal owners and a class action lawsuit claiming new owners expected the 'legendary' engineered Oldsmobile engine and not the lesser chev POS. The upshot was that GM could do as they pleased with engine selection. Quote Link to comment
