paradime Posted July 7, 2015 Report Share Posted July 7, 2015 Camping on Lake Powell with my Dad and Brother, and a B-1 flew slow and low directly over the canyon our boat was in. Most Unsettling. That is a very intimidating aircraft, sound and appearance. I can only imagine what it's like when dropping payload. 5 Quote Link to comment

Even more to the point, While activating Wing 5 Minuteman missile acativation, we were testing a newly built launch facility when a B52 on stealth approach flew directly over our launch facility. Most of the personell on site didn't even notice the bomber flying directly overhead! Almost no sound and a direct view of the windshied wipers killing local resident grasshoppers! Quite a testimony to the ability of then SAC attack capability! 2 Quote Link to comment
