izzo
Don't worry, I've thrown my fair share of gloves, goggles, random tools across the garage like a 2 year old. 1977 Datsun 620, now with permanent frame rails! lol I just threw something the other day when I was pissed off at the car... I can understand this statement. Quote Link to comment

kaoss
I still update this thread! Only one more gaping hole in the cab, and I can't put it back together until I get my Ka24e in there. Next project is the core support mounts. 4 Quote Link to comment
kaoss
Bolted the fenders on. Was a bit of work, had to chase out all the holes with a tap (6x1.0 for those interested, and my local Lowes carries bolts that will work for the fenders) and drill out and tap several bolts that were broken off during dis-assembly 6 years ago. I'm pretty happy with the fender gap on the driver's side, considering all this cab has been through (cut apart, welded back together, and dropped a couple times) The passenger side leaves a little to be desired. 8 Quote Link to comment
kaoss
Got the clutch master tacked in under the dash. This was 0 fun. Lowered the fulcrum point about 2", added about 2" to the top of the petal, shortened the bottom about 2" and I hope that it works. 5 Quote Link to comment

kaoss
I wish I could be talking about paint. I doubt I will paint it. I've been too busy with the kids and life in general to get back into the garage to work on it. Such is life. 1 Quote Link to comment

kaoss
I've worked on it off and on over the last couple of months. I found another 620 on CL so I decided to go look at it. When I get there, the seller states to me that he is only selling it because he can't find a motor for it. I told him I was only buying it because I had a motor for it. Since I have a fresh KA laying around, I decided to sell him my l20b out of the truck. So that started the process of getting it to turn over. It's fun trying to figure out why in the hell you swapped the + and - wires on the coil over 10 years ago. My first issue was this, the PO put some speaker wire in for were the fusible link should go off the positive battery terminal. This literally caught on fire the first few times. Ghetto rigged a replacement just to get it to crank. Speaking of cranking, for the first time in 10 years and 12 hours of chasing wires later: http://vid6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/kaoss77/Datsun/977E0CA6-62AD-47EF-9B07-6E8259F0ACE7_zpseo3meguc.mp4 So of course, now that the truck runs, what is the first thing to do? I didn't even finish my first beer before we had it out. I've gotten real good at puling this motor. Now it's time to mount the KA in, and hope I can close the hood. 7 Quote Link to comment
