Chuck Most
Shouldn't that be posted in the V8 into a 510 thread? I don't know. I'm not a... thread.... topic... uh... placement, expert.... 2 Quote Link to comment
Rhino13
Found this at an antique shop near my house but it's from '96 so not very antique... it's still in the plastic wrapping but I'm still going to build it. I need to build a 510 and I can't afford a real one right now haha 4 Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
Chuck you sir are keeping this thread alive. Have you ever done any videos on the weathering techniques you use? Man I would pay turn learn how you do it.. This reminds me of a Vegas rat rod builders stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvfmizG5Lw8 Chuck you shows these expertly weathered models and the you hit us with a very tastefully done shiny model. What talent! 1 Quote Link to comment
Chuck Most
I'm really not much into doing video tutorials- they've pretty much all been done at this point, and I can't stand YouTube's ridiculous upload times (an hour for an eight minute video? What the fuck?). 3 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
OK just keep posting great builds! I had to ask. 1 Quote Link to comment

Chuck Most
Mostly just salt. I haven't quite gotten the hang of the hairspray technique. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
From watching Non Chuck DIY videos (LOL) Just joking Chuck, I think that the salt method is a better method of adding some texture also. Quote Link to comment
racerx
Very impressive ford truck models, specially the paint scheme. You guys are talented! 1 Quote Link to comment

Chuck Most
When the reissue came out the values of the original kits tanked, but since the reissue was a limited run, prices on it are going up already. So... I basically got an original '72 issue of the 510 for about what I'd currently pay for one of the reissues. Not too shabby. 3 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
I enjoyed watch this I enjoyed watch this Love that 1955 Nomad wagon! I left a numbered "limited edition" model of the 1954 Corvette Nomad wagon prototype with my Niece's husband in Tokyo. He's a Chevy fanatic! 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
I've got one of these. How can you tell if it's a reissue? As I recall, the '71/72 version says "1440", and the '90s reissue says "R-1440" or maybe "H-1440"? Somewhere I have a case of reissues but I haven't looked at them in awhile... 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
And obviously the newest reissue is completely different box art (bad move IMO)... 1 Quote Link to comment

Jesse C.
^^What Datsunfreak said. Well, the original has the 2.5 Challenge Championship Crest and the Famous Racers logo with Pete Brock. The re-issue only has Pete Brock logo 2 Quote Link to comment
Chuck Most
A few recent completions.... "Roto-Pacer"- '78 Pacer with a 13b swap. '97 F-150 I finished a while back then redid with a new grille and bumper, some graphics, and tinted windows. And a beat up '68 Subaru 360. 3 Quote Link to comment
