tr8er
Alright already with this long ago thing. I meant that much has happened since the crate was opened. Not much Ford left. It's come along way from stock. It was a poor use of words. Still. At least I won the contest! I drove the shit outa one of those in my teens. It was fun until I wrecked it. 16yo stopped on the freeway going 60 for a stuffed animal. It was like she was asking the universe if anything bad happened if she did really stupid shit. I answered her query. 1 Quote Link to comment
goes2fast
I wonder if it would fit in my 1200? 1 Quote Link to comment
paradime
You'd have to beef up the chassis a bit. 1 Quote Link to comment
difrangia
Sulzer engine made in Switzerland? I got to visit the engine room on a Carnival cruise ship in 1991 and the engine looked like this. There were three levels of mezzazines around the engine. I was told that these engines in the ships were mostly being repalced with turbines during that era. The generating units and de-salination units were also in that area of the ship. I was surprised that that area was almost as clean and orderly as an operating room. Senior crew and engineering personel were mainly Italian. 2 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
^^which is weird because Italy isn't know for engineering things too well. Design they have down pat, they draw up some sexy damn lines. Quote Link to comment

That big thin behind it is, I think, a container ship diesel engine made by Hyundai in Korea? The crank alone weighs 300 tons! Naturally this is not put in any ship. The ship is built around it. 2 Quote Link to comment
