JoeCool
Ahh screw it, its a 5 liter twin turbo nitromethane powered 4 cylinder built by norwood racing, rated at 4,000BHP!!! all thrown in an integra styled funny car designed to do 250mph in 5.5 seconds at the quarter mile. I would give it a read. I had the stupidest smile throughout the whole article. http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0202tur_norwoods_racing_funnycar_integra/ 4.8 liter four cylinder... DAMN! I want that engine in my 720, forget the turbos, nitro methane, etc... just build it naturally aspirated on 91 octane gas. Bet it would still make well over 500hp! Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
L20B engine porn! 1 Quote Link to comment
paradime
2 Stroke V8 with expansion chamber exhaust. Sound is SICK :w00t: 1 Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
That engine sounds great at idle, but awful when revved. Sounds like a lawnmower. Quote Link to comment
paradime
Lawnmower? It's actually an Evinrude outboard motor, but that's the sound I hear when I'm alone in the bathroom :hyper:. 1 Quote Link to comment

dirty-mik3
Anyone know of a decently common mid engine/tranny combo aside from vw motors? I have a ridiculously rusty 280z parts car, and I have the urge for a pantera hatch and a mid engine setup.... Quote Link to comment

q-tip
they make kits to put a SBC in a fiero Quote Link to comment
dirty-mik3
I feel like a 3sgte or some super bastardized rear mounted honda motor would fit a hell of a lot better, not to mention the weight distribution issue.... 1 Quote Link to comment
smoke
Subaru is what you're after 1 Quote Link to comment
72240z
There was a s30 with a ford show driveline mounted in back years ago but I haven't been able to find it for some time now. I dont really see the point of a boxer for an s30 mid engine application. There would most definitely be fitment issues. The northstar swap for fieros is pretty cool. considering the weight distribution issue with having 5ft of empty hood I would go with dual motor lol. Now that would be nasty... 1 Quote Link to comment
smoke
I would go with a 12v 92. Quote Link to comment
captaingamez
Wanna make the bitch scream, drop in a supercharged K24A1, stock engine with a Rotrex will pull 365hp with nothing done other than supercharger and Kpro. Plus you get the greatest transaxle transmission ever built. I thrash mine all day long with 300,000 miles on it, and it sees the track regularly. Never misses a gear or feels anything unlike the day I bought it. Or if you wanna make stupid ass power, K24A2 will put out over 500hp with the same Rotrex, or you can turbocharge for similar power levels. (and the trans will still hold it) If you are serious, a transaxle drivetrain will make your life much much easier, and will also keep the weight distribution correct (K series hang over the front of the axles) If you arte trying to keep it Nissan then use a transaxle SR20VE, only issue is the transmissions are total shit for high power holding. 1 Quote Link to comment
GRpufnstuf
Check out http://www.renegadehybrids.com They put subi and SBC in Porsche 911 and 914. They can get you a 930 Trans (500+ HP) flipped to run either mid engine. Quote Link to comment
smoke
Speaking of 2 strokes with more than one jug. I built this a number of years back. It's an old Kawasaki 750 triple engine. It moved right along. Quote Link to comment
paradime
That was one sick monkey I'll bet Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
mmmm subaru sounds like a great option also LS motors are very common rear mount in sand rails so there are probably adapter kits available to different tranny configurations Quote Link to comment
paradime
You'll like this one Smoke. 2 stroke gut check for sure. http://youtu.be/t4S7wmxpQIU 3 Quote Link to comment
smoke
Nice, I had an RD400 for a while, NOTHING like that of course, but it was a very fun bike. Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
I had a Kenny Roberts RZ with some Micron GP pipes Spec1 body kit and a bunch of other go fast goodies, Scarey power band. The two best days with it was the day I bought it and the day I sold it. Felt lucky to never lay it down in the few years I owned it. Quote Link to comment
smoke
That's the thing with them, when you pin the throttle from a low rpm, they fall down just long enough for you to think "you piece of shiii" ZIIIIING and you're hanging on for your life. Quote Link to comment
