angliagt
Just curious - Why do they slam pickups down to the ground? Do you actually have any hauling capacity that way? If I have a truck,I want to be able to haul stuff. 1 Quote Link to comment

And people don't haul shit in these. 1 Quote Link to comment

That's like saying I shouldn't have a 4 door because I'm the only one who ever rides in it. Trucks can be stylish. And as I said, you can still haul stuff in it. You can actually haul more in it with air bags than you can with just leaf springs. 2 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
True, I was speaking more in general than at an individual, but if you have a truck to be stylish I will call you on it. Quote Link to comment

Lifted 4x4 trucks are mere commuter vehicles here, driven for style points. Quote Link to comment

For many their slammed truck is a toy the same as someone else who has a Harley etc. and in their build threads you see a regular or lifted truck in the driveway. hobospyder
I have four "trucks" (read pickup?) None of which are used for heavy hauling outside of dumpruns. I have no need for heavy hauling and feel most of the bigger trucks (read pavement princess) are just compensating for something. I have a buddy that does all my hauling for me with his 8 inch lifted ford 350 (gato saw him last year) which he dailies to and from work and barely fits into a stall. The bigger trucks do have their uses but in a normal household that doesn't tow, haul or require it on a weekly basis at the least I dont see the point. All vehicles are toys to mee pretty much. As in, if you slam your 510 wagon is that dumb? Since you can't use it for hauling junk around any more? ^_^ Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Wagon isn't a truck. And hobo the dump runs count for me. Quote Link to comment

q-tip
To answer I think a "slammed" anything is dumb to an extent. 2 Quote Link to comment
HRH
I hauled all sorts of things in my lowered hardbody 2wd. Autocross truck, general fun truck, still completely functional. Hauled 1000 pounds of wood in it back to the house a few years back. Couldn't even tell it was squatting, lol. Quote Link to comment
