I remember a year or two before the shortages there was a glut, and there were gas wars. Price per gallon hit lows not seen since before WWII. I was just starting to drive then and recall getting gas at .19 a gallon.

It is awesome the stuff these guys are doing to these old cars and pickups. I'd do a build thread for my race car, but that was 28 years ago. And I don't have a lot of during photos. Back then I used film and it cost money. Then they hit you a second time to develop it.

Yeah,I am old enough to remember using film (LOL) and the same thing happened to me. 

 

Had I lived my childhood with digital cameras/mobiles there'd be so much epic stuff I'd have way more documenting of but alas I was born too early for that.

While I took far less photos when I used film, I took a shit ton. Developed my film at home. As a result, I've got negatives and slide in far too many shoe boxes and binders. Actual prints.... Almost never it seems.
