They make an adapter to bolt the SOHC Aluminum block Honda J-series from the mini vans to a Miata 5 and 6 spd.

Narrow, light V6 with plenty of torque.

I'm hoping other companies jump on this for more support and better prices

Interesting. Honda J series spin reverse of almost every other engine, as far as I understood. I guess the miata does as well? Or am I mistaken on that?

Regardless, they really are great engines. Just little aftermarket, and no one has hacked the factory ecu, so developing extra power guarantees an aftermarket ecu.

The 4 cylinders spin backwards. Not sure about the S2000 though.

If you look at a Honda engine bay, if the engine is on the driver's/left side it spins backwards.

The V6s have the motor on the right.

Link to those miata mounts? That's a crazy engine idea.

Yup. That's the one.

And fuck that noise against it. Some engines trancend the boundaries of bias. The S2000 is such a beast in a small package I'll never diss it by calling it Honda. I've driven a couple. One of which I've really "driven". Bone stock. If I wasn't on the pedals I think I actually would think there was an ape getting sodomized under the hood. If I could handle the task of that swap, I would. No question.
