The younger set has no real issues, other than being bullied, about coming out, whereas the older set, are still closeted about it. Baby Boomers shunned it, Gen X can be partial, Gen Y is more accepting and Millenials are pretty much fine with it. One more generation and no one will even care. 1 Quote Link to comment

As a BBer I've seen a definite transition over 40-50 years. What is accepted and what wasn't. "You always fear what you don't understand" .... truer words were never spoken. You can dislike something, it's a choice or opinion, but fear (misunderstanding) breeds hatred. Hate is learned/taught, we are not born with it. It is very hard to unlearn something. At least I've had over 50 years to adjust to the changes. Well, some day I will find myself sharing my private space with a woman who is more comfortable there than with her own sex. Nice melons. She smiled and said thanks but you could see that she knew that something had almost got past her and just needed a few seconds to 'get it'.
