ratsun73
yea but with the small tires and relatively low power output i think it will be fine, worst case i blow it up, so then id just go turbo 350. 2 Quote Link to comment

Boxcar
Not sure where you got the week trans theory. The 1st generation had teething pains . They were corrected years ago. The current 700R-4 is the go to system for most Chevy builders. Your going to need the overdrive to end up with any semblance of economy with that set up. The added weight of the v-6 and the tranny T-case weight are the big disadvantage to that system. BUT it is ultra reliable and well supported. ]2eDeYe
You running the chevy V8? Do you need the metal mounts or the rubber mounts? You could always fab up your own at this point. http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=BUSHDOM Quote Link to comment

ratsun73
yea...i have gone to 3 different auto parts stores, tried 2 different mounts from summit, and gone to a pick and pull all resulting in nothing usable for motor mounts. i really don't want to shell out the $110 that the trans dap motor mounts cost so im just gonna take [2eDeYe's idea and make my own out of some poly bushing i have. more updates on that soon. i also decides to use a turbo 400 because the 700r4 is really hard to find in my area and the only t cases they come with are the wrong side drop. ratsun73
yea..im just gonna blame the teenage side of my brain  so i could get a 2wd trans and do a divorced setup with the dana 20 right. Quote Link to comment
ratsun73
i am slightly concerned that this setup will not fit but the turbo 400 with a t case is not going to much if any shorter. Quote Link to comment
ratsun73
some picts from today. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
The issue you may run into with the divorced t-case setup is the rear drive line angle, its is a shorter wheel base vehicle after all. Not to mention yky have 2 more u joints to worry about. Quote Link to comment
