It's kind of cool, they have a show room inside their office at one of the warehouse is. And one of them, they have the first Ferrari testarossa ever imported do United States that some show modeled their car off of. I think it was Miami Vice or something

Right, that's the second car. And yes it is in original with the proper documentation, not a clone

Well, from what I know, the original is kept pretty much out of sight and it is still close to original shape, and not even driven. The one in your pic is pretty shiny and has rather recently new rims.

From what I know, the original was sold off by Warner Bros. in 1970 and later resold. That person has kept it under wraps and doesn't like people poking about.

But...

As he said, it does make me wonder if it was an original car from the film, why change the wheels?

It bears a striking resemblance to the Gateway Classics replicas...

Bingo! That is the car.

Lots of folks claim to have originals, like the Charger in the movie or a General Lee. But without actual documentation, they are just replicas.

Only two GT 390 Mustangs where used in the film, one is in a barn still hidden and the other has surfaced in Mexico.

"Miami Vice" got into a lot of trouble!  Their car was a body kit modified Corvette.  Ferrari and Miami Vice settled out of court, it was a design patent case.

$408,000 dollars all options. Regular 720S around $300,000.

The regular 720S

The 720S is powered by a thoroughly reworked version of the M838T that has been in every McLaren built. In fact, this one is now called the M840T to reflect its growth to 4.0 liters. As you'd expect, power is up to 720 and torque jumps 68 lb-ft to 568, yet somehow it's more efficient. That helps it hit 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, 184 in 21.4 seconds, and a top speed of 212 mph. It even runs the quarter mile in 10.3 seconds. The lightest dry weight of a 720S is 2,828 pounds.

I had one of my 510s used in a fairly big movie once. But it was kind of a chick flick and none of my friends ever saw it...

Back when I had a Z3MR and then a Z3MC, the club I was in would always get calls out to come to Dallas to have our cars in movies. I never did it, The roadster and coupe were fun to drive, but not for the 2+ hours to Dallas.
