a.d._510_n_ok
'62 Galaxie with Astro-Supremes, pinner whitewalls, Watson-esque scallops and bellflower pipes. this would have a toe-hold in the traditional customs of the late 1960s as well the early lowrider era. 3 Quote Link to comment

oldskoolvws
^two separate quotes they made the Volkswagen golfs in Westmoreland PA? damn Nazi cars. Yes, sort of. From 1979-80 to 1984 (I think it was, have to go look in my reference books for exacy dates), Westmoreland was home to the MK1 VW Rabbit and Jetta manufacturing. These VW's are easy to spot in OEM form, they all have the square headlights. Any with round headlights are from Germany. The squares are known as "Westy's" for Westmoreland. 1983 and 1984 are the only years MK'1 GTi's were made and sold in the U.S. We never got the EU Golf GTi....but I have a brand new rebuilt motor in my garage also known as a Heron (flat head, combustion chamber in the piston and F1 like intake runners) from one.
