ggzilla
So it's a lot faster than a Corvette 505, and costs less. We can't afford not to buy it... Quote Link to comment
reese
I think it is SWEET! I just got back from Japan and saw them on the road and even sat in one at the Nissan Gallery. I think it is the best Nissan in the US since 240sx. http://www.nissan.co.jp/cgi-bin/GALLERY/gallery.cgi?g=4 Quote Link to comment

Bleach
the 350Z is still a better bang for your buck so you'll see more Z's totalled than GTRs! :D The GTR performs very well though. AWD turbo six is a good combo. We won't be driving gas powered cars pretty soon though. Quote Link to comment
mrubcic
i would drive it if i had too... AWD Turbo, sounds like fun Quote Link to comment
RB_Shaggs
I am still partial to the old body style. i mean if you are going to have theof the sports car world, just enjoy it's sexy body.... That and you can't import the old ones anymore... I still think the Evolution is more bang for you AWD Turbo buck....:D Quote Link to comment
mrubcic
I still think the Evolution is more bang for you AWD Turbo buck Has anyone drove a newer model with the paddle shiffting? Quote Link to comment
79datsun620
yea,the evo is ok for a normal everyday car but not even in the same ballpark.the gtr is up there with 100k to 200k+ cars and some of those can't touch it. Quote Link to comment
gen4maxima536
there are only something like 6 or 8 super cars that make more downforce than the GTR Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
there are only something like 6 or 8 super cars that make more downforce than the GTR yeah yeah yeah, all good and fine if you like the numbers boast  status symbol is what it is. and that gets the testosterone going :D Quote Link to comment
71DIMER
I know a coworker has a deposit for one...but that's normal around here. Someone always has to have the latest and greatest. One of my buddy coworkers has the new Z06 vette, and that thing HAULS A$$ big time...holy crap, it's scary fast. So maybe I'll get to get a test drive on the GTR but I doubt it since I'm not too friendly with the guy getting the GTR. Around here you see lots of high end cars scattered throughout our parking lot..just a matter of what you want, cars or homes. Could I plunk down the money for one of these GTR and have it paid outright, sure...but I prefer and choose to save that money for a nice house near the beach instead...that's my goal. For now I'll gladly stick to my 510 and 350Z. Quote Link to comment
Duke
I just don't like the fact that you can't get it in a real manual. Quote Link to comment
69FJWagon
I agree ^^^ im not a fan of paddle style shifting cars unless its a SUPER Italian type a guy I work with wanted me to drive his 2007 bmw m3 withnthe paddles and it SUCKED it shifted slow and sluggish even on the highest shift mode... but I wouldnt turn down a GTR saw one in person at motoring J style...SEXY :D Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Look, I didn't buy my GTR for the bragging rights. I just wanted it. (Datsun 1200 GTR - R in Nissan code means 2-dr sedan) Quote Link to comment
79datsun620
duke, i agree that is the only thing i hate about the gtr you can't snatch gears:mad: Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
duke, i agree that is the only thing i hate about the gtr you can't snatch gears:mad: agreed: real men like to do it with a stick however, nissan marketing spent millions to figure out what the gt-r's target consumer wanted (commuting corporate porkers, and bratty sons of rich guys) and i guess a stick wasn't high on their list Quote Link to comment
