Fucking bear at 50mph. Literally jumped right out in front of me...no warning at all. Quite bummed.

After reading this... I looked at the picture again. Is that an airbag?

Both airbags deployed. In fact the passenger airbag actually broke the windshield. I was the only person in the car.

I'd expect some parts of the car to penetrate through the bear... and leave some meat behind or something.. but the bear walked away!!! at 50mph! unbelievable!

It was funny. I mean, what can you do but laugh? My friend was behind me in his Z and his description of the bear flying though the air after impact was priceless. I am just happy it wasn't the Dime...I may have had to go to the hospital.

That bear may have walked away, but if it shit down the side of the car, it's likely crawled off to die somewhere. Sucks for the Evo, and for the bear. :(

That's what we surmised as well. i reported it to the Rangers and they said they would follow up but that the bear would do just as you said.

My teacher was driving a Cadillac Deville and a bear stepped out infront of him as he was going 65mph. Bear flew, cadillac stopped. Bear got up and walked away.

Observations.

 

One: shoulda had a gopro on for the acrobatic bear.

 

Two: Internal bleeding = dead bear = go find him and get a rug made !!

 

Three: Get big monies for your car(insurance) then buy it back and have the first 510 with an EVO swap ! = WIN
