But its so far backordered who knows when they will get it. So for the inconvinience they are crediting me 35 bucks for a new one not remany ^__^. Quote Link to comment

Hey, I am throwing out temp fixes till you find the proper part, you can use a small piece of rope, but the threaded rod with lock nuts is the idea that looks like you put some effort/thought into it, a long gutter nail is a "at the moment" fix, the trouble with them is they tend to become permanent, you just need to find the right sized nail, the fact is, that's all the stock rod is, a nail without a point.
