so i have a engine rebuild set ordered, i have my intake sent off to jrock, waiting on a fer-sure for my harness, 

 

still need a exhaust mani. , turbo , intercooler, and a couple little tid-bits

block cleaning and hone 

the number one cyl. has black discoloration but its smooth should i worry about that? 

 

also i noticed a pretty deep gouge about a 1/4 long and maybe a 1/32  deep, little more than halfway down the cyl. way past any combustion pressure i think but should i worry?

well im aiming for canby!!  i dont foresee any major  issues with reaching that goal so far i think my biggest challenges will be wiring/computer stuff and finding a transmission...

i have a block off plate for it... it would be nice welded, but unless you wanna do it to keep your TIG skillz up..i can only stay within that price discussed since i still have to pay for shipping back

i have an eye on two r154's or w58 (supras)  not sure which since they dont know if they are turbos or not  

 

and going to get the bill hich. bell housing adapter 

 

or just get a narrow trans from a 2.0 d50... as a fall back to get this to CANBY!!
