All metal door panels and cool 3D printed speaker pods for the 3 ways . Then we let the Alpine play, coming at you like NWA, or something like that.lol 4 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Those midrange probably should be isolated from the midbass 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Don't they sell cups that go behind the speakers to do exactly that? 14 hours ago, thisismatt said: Those midrange probably should be isolated from the midbass Quote Link to comment
mainer311
It won't make any difference. It's not a sealed enclosure. Quote Link to comment

The cups are for improving bass response by sealing off the back of the cone. I suppose they could also work to isolate, but I don't think it's needed in this application. 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
I know they do for 6.5's, mostly sold as protection from weather in the doors, but they are too small to leave fully enclosed around the driver if you want any kind of bass extension. I'm a little surprised Alpine didn't have any recommendations for air volume in the instructions, but maybe they do elsewhere. Last time I built a 3-way enclosure the mid had a specific separate chamber. Quote Link to comment

Right, doors are never fully sealed, but you don't typically want an open back mid sharing the same back plane/air space as the woofer/midbass Edited March 6, 2023 by thisismatt Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Guys thank you for all the input I bought the 3 ways with the thought of moving the speakers in a order to look pretty as I always do. But since the door has limited space I decided to just go that route. I just want music listening to Turbo's all day suckkkkk.lol 1 Quote Link to comment

Front valance is not on yet. Also notice the front bumper how all the holes and bolts are shaved for the clean blade look. 7 Quote Link to comment
