Laecaon
This sounds interesting! Those wheels confuse me, they have so much poke for looking like they have no offset... Quote Link to comment

Edz280zx
Are those 4 lug wheels on adapters or something? Quote Link to comment
Skib
Are those 4 lug wheels on adapters or something? early mustang 4 lug rear? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
early mustang 4 lug rear? We mean the massive poke! A stock 521 can have low offset like this: these wheels are just about flush on this truck... hate that term... Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Mmmmmmmm 5.0 hydraulic roller cam goodnesss .... mmmmm wc 5spd Is this badass little truck getting the 8.8 rear as well? Will be watching this ;) Quote Link to comment
DAT510
Saw this truck on craigslist for the longest time.. glad someone got it! im interested in the suspension... 4 lug wheels might be one of those 6 lug to 4 lug conversion plates that make the wheels poke Quote Link to comment
DAT510
Btw bad ass crown vic! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Love your P71. But those wheels have too much offset. These have zero or maybe even negative offset, gotta have some dish Quote Link to comment
Brock_Samson
Haha.. Yeah Ill admit I was vague to gage reactions. but rest assured I will update you soon with pics It's all 86 Mustang GT drivetrain, axle to axle, hence why it has so much offset, disk brakes all around and a 3 speed tranny, and yes it has the 8.8 in the back.. The 5.0 fuel injection has been swapped out for a carburetor, which I will probably take back to fuel injection or swap the whole thing out for a CVPI setup since in so familiar with them.. And I love roller setups.. Being stationed in Japan for so long, and drifting all my life I love a little negative offset, not sure what i plan to do about that yet lol. More to come.. Sorry about typos as I am typing this on my phone.. And it's Samson not Samp... Quote Link to comment
Brock_Samson
So yeah not 4 lug adapters, just Mustang axles lol, nothing to see here.... Move along citizen... Oh and thankyou.. yeah the Incerceptor is my daily driver and i love her :) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Do you mean that because of the wider axles, it needed wheels with more offset to get them to tuck inside the fenders? Those are not Mustang GT wheels. Yes, the roller cam engines are great. The 1985s had them too. Quote Link to comment
Brock_Samson
Those are not Mustang GT wheels. how do you figuire? im no Moostang expert but they did have a few wheel options.. http://www.automotix.net/keystone/1986-ford-mustang_gt-wheels_rims-aly01310u10.html i mean i want negative offset, i like lip... and with the axles being that long if i was to put any negative offset it would stick out substantially... i dunno what ill do prolly just deal with it, i have some ZG flairs and my old S30 rims in the garage that i thing ill try on... ggzilla
Ya can't believe adverting. GT wheels were all alloy for one thing. Those "polycast" wheels were put on non-GTs. ZG flares might just be the ticket. They look good on a variety of Datsuns, wonder how they will look on the truck? Quote Link to comment
Brock_Samson
I agree you cant, i will be tossing those wheels anyways...Heres the motor action..I need better light.. radiator is definately in the wrong place.. plan to go with electric fans or relocate the Rad to the bed, along with a rear mounted turbo (maybe)Holley Carb though...Not me in this vid, i had my Pops visiting, took him back a bit to when he had me rebuilding motors in the garage lol... ggzilla
That is fairly common: Since the 521 has a full frame, it doesn't weaken the chassis. Seen it done to a lot of unibodies though which does weaken it a bit. Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker
Welcome to Ratsun and it is a very interesting truck. I bet the old timer is one that can tell you what plug is misfiring by sound alone. ;) probly be too much work/money to shorten axles? I could see a tub job with some Micky's in the back. :D Quote Link to comment

Z chopper
I think the frames are boxed from the factory Quote Link to comment
