I just wanted to see what you all thought. :P :D Went to look at basecoats today and they all look so milky in the book. 73dime Posted November 6, 2011 Report Share Posted November 6, 2011 WHITE for sure. White makes all the lights on the car stand out as well as the chrome/stainless bumbers, trim, grill. Gun metal rims look nice on white cars too or any color combo with white. Also in my opinion the faint body lines along the side of the 510 stand out more. Quote Link to comment

VintageRice Posted November 6, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 6, 2011 Worked on car from 10am till 11pm, prepped car, built one heck of a spray booth, sprayed sealer, sprayed base, started to run out of base. oh crap, now theres spots fish eyeing and spidering. sonofa, now we ARE out of paint, still see thin spots.;.... ....SONOFA !! Held off of clear, will fix a few spots, buy more base, re-scuff the WHOLE CAR and shoot again this week. We were a half hour from being done......dang..... Pics tomorrow I'm goin to bed. VintageRice Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 I did use a little rattle can for spot touch up but then sealed the whole car with epoxy primer sealer. I'm not sure what went wrong in the few spots. But yeah either way, I'm sanding those spots out then getting more base, re scuffing the car and trying again.
