bananahamuck
FAt bought a 85 ranger to drive while the warthog engine gets replaced with a 327 chevy, in a couple weeks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in testing driving type shit,,,,,, the bypass hose blew.. So when fixing that i thought ,,what the fuck i'll just replace he thermostat now,,,,,,,,,, well the fuckin thermostat is on the lower hose not the top.... Then one of the tiny god damn bolts breaks off,,, whoopdy fuckin do..... Which brings us up to about 10 minutes ago. 2 Quote Link to comment

S30Jay
I love that there's a sawzall, a torch, hose (obviously for safety) some likely flammable chemicals nearby....and not one wrench or screwdriver present! Is that a shop vac I see the top of too? Was that to clean up after the bloody massacre? Tell me someone took video of this! 2 Quote Link to comment
dukerollo
Remove factory installed engine and transmission install 327. Does the 327 require a transmission or is the fear of good ol 'Merican torque enough? 3 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Does the 327 require a transmission or is the fear of good ol 'Merican torque enough? yes Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Does the 327 require a transmission or is the fear of good ol 'Merican torque enough? It will be belt drive directly to the rear differential ,, it will just be loose enough to slip until a lever with an idler wheel is "pulled" to increase tension. We did the calculations and the engine should putting out somewhere between 693 hp and 1474 hp on NOS .. 6 Quote Link to comment

bananahamuck
Thought i posted these before but i guess i didn't ,,, this happened just before Hoboland BBQ . Had a underdash water leak so since it was all the way apart he switched out the tach and crack free dash that has been growing dust for a few years.. Took 2 trys because he had 2 uncracked dashes one from 78 and one from 81,,, bolted 81 in,,,, gauge cluster has just enough different measurements it would never have fit..... So take the whole damn thing apart again and install 78 . 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Since he moved to apartments,, Warthog mostly sits here at my house and he drives this goofy thing to works,, and the A10,, mostly just to meets/shows and cruises like my Datsuns. I had him haul a 4Age for me and when i got out to check my mail phone fell out and the bastard ran over it with that fucking thing,,,, still holds a charge though.. Which catches us up to yesterday and the color matching fender bumper and gigantic leather seats i got at the PnP for his "new" V8 luxury barge project ,, to get rid of some "bodywork" that previous owner did. Anyway,,,,,,,,,,,, so it seems Toyota motor company has been able to stop all updates on the A10 . 3 Quote Link to comment
