Pacific coast Datsun
Today i showed my HB at a local lowrider show & wanted to share a few pix. I had'nt showed this truck in many months & I rarely drive it so it felt good to get out there & cruise a bit. My HB is very "un-ratsun" but it represents the lowrider style of mini trucks that i enjoy. This truck was passed down to me from my dad & it was bone stock. Sadly he never got to see it finished so now when i show it off it takes on a new importance & sense of pride. Another kool thing happened today, i ran into one of my dads former coworkers of 25 years who was showing his old ford pickup !!! heres my dads friends truck [in chair] Quote Link to comment

Pacific coast Datsun
Are thoose anodized rims are did you paint them....? I like them... Ahh finally somebody notices...:D Ok believe it or not i used a special transpearant spray paint followed up w/ 3 coats of clear. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Whatever you did...they look good. I have to ask though... Green and blue? :D Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Steve, of course i wanted them to be green but cant find that paint in green. Plus my accent color is blue so it kinda matches. It was either blue, purple or gold  The sweet thing is that i can use some brush on paint remover & then blast it with my water gun & re-do them one day. Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Nice ride ! Where did you get that dash? That isn't stock is it? Your pops would have been proud........ Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
The dash is actually the stock one. I removed it [twice, had painted it a few years before] & sanded out the "texture" then shot several coats of high build primer, sanded inbetween coats then the color/clear... Quote Link to comment
Llittle_Llama
wow, hope to do mine soon....i might just recover though.... Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Mike, you want to have before your bigger text (without the extra space in there) and after the text. I fixed it for you, so you can see what I mean if you edit that post. Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Thanks for the love guys..ill be taking the HB to our local weekly free car show tomorrow & will have new pics. Heres a few more.. Quote Link to comment
irsa76
For some reason I love low riders. Normally I'm a form follows function kind of guy, 7 wagons and a minivan will do that, but these just appeal to me for some reason. Might try and find another 720KC and give it the treatment. Pacific coast Datsun
Irsa this truck isnt a daily & doesnt get driven enough IMO but it gives me pride to know that it was my dads truck ! Its a blast to cruise around in it... Quote Link to comment
CharlieBucket
love the truck, first one of yours i saw on the web. i found nissancustoms.com first and then linked to ratsun from your sig over there. thanks for that! so what is your suspension setup on the HB? i am always staring under your tilt bed but i can't really tell what you have going on. of course i see the switches! Pacific coast Datsun
This is probably the best shot of the racks & the rear suspension... theres 4 cylinders that run the racks. three 10 inch & one 12 inch cylinder. The rear suspension uses 12 inchers as well. Quote Link to comment
