Got that all welded together and painted, ready for install next week. Didn't have the bolts I wanted to bolt the seat to the slider, so...

Got the brake and clutch pedals back in (HUGE pain in the ass), and the brake master pushrod hooked up.

For some odd reason the pushrod wasn't long enough? I couldn't get all the slack out of it, so we had to weld an extra bit onto the end to make it work. Fits like a glove now, had to lengthen it about an inch. Still no idea why...

Tried to mock up the clutch master to build a mounting bracket it for it. Turns out the pushrod on it was waaaaay too short also...

Took the stock pushrod out and found a long bolt the same size..

Gonna get some steel to make the bracket for the clutch master next week, and some bolts to put the seat in...

Drilling holes in this seat is a bitch. Got the modified 1200 slider bolted up, though...

That's with two more clicks to go backwards, and the fit is good...

I went ahead and moved it back those two clicks after that to make it easier to get in and out of...

Next week I hope to be installing the 6pt harness and permanently installing the seat and cover.

How you going to install the harness with no roll bar yet?

I guess you'll have to wait and see...

I may eventually put a roll bar in it, but it's not in the plan for right now.

I'll be mounting it basically like this...

Shoulder belts criss-crossed and bolted to the rear seat belt anchor points.

With the rake of the seat, and the fact that the shoulder harness pass through is below my shoulders, it'll be the best/safest angle in my opinion.

Most racing oganizations say that is unsafe, and illegal, but what do I know?

Don't bother.  I banged my head against this wall for weeks until we actually fit the seat and I saw that even with a bar to make the harnii pull straight they still had to make a serious upward jaunt to go over his shoulders.  The choice was twixt yank the straps up into the harness hole in the seat or go with an unoptimal (is that a word?) angle down to the mounting points.  We went with straight shot to the mounts.  Worst case, his spine is crushed in a frontal collision.  At least he won't hit his face on the steering wheel.
