Hardwyre
A number of us have been bit in the ass by scammers and know they're the shit of the world. Sometimes though, the scammer's own greed bites them back. A man selling a Macintosh Powerbook has a little fun once he learns his buyer isn't being entirely legit. The scammer thought he was getting this:................He got this: Thank you to the SomethingAwful forum of making this happen. Here's the story: http://www.zug.com/pranks/powerbook/ Quote Link to comment

wildmaninid
I find this to be the best way to wake up on sunday morning! I am a tad concerned they never heard from Jeff again......maybe he had his glory and figured life would be all downhill from there, or did "they" get him LOL. Too much fun, too epic, I need some eggs and bacon now! Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
... or maybe, just MAYBE, he was a scammer himself. He scammed those who thought he was scamming a scammer. "Everyone looks right, you go left". The ol' Kansas City Shuffle. Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Not only that, but created a story that captured hundreds, no, thousands of peoples' attention, and has been circulated throughout the internet.. ending in a mysterious "disappearance". There's a twist, eh? Quote Link to comment

Hardwyre
The story is a few years old and the original website that hosted the story is gone; but Jeff did "vanish" for about 3 months because he took off to Montana for the Summer cause he got a bit spooked. He's still active over on the SA forum to this day. Quote Link to comment
