flatcat19
Being in Cali-who knows what you're going to find there. If it was a 1200, I'm sure you would've mentioned how tight having a RHD truck is gonna be. :P Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
1200 pickups are fairly common. Built through 1965 with the 60HP engine. Definitely worth reviving! Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
My bad on the choice of states... But you have the same chance of oddball japanesse stuff up there too. So is it a 320, 520, or a 521? Or a 1200 UTE? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
It is more clear if you call it by the datsun model series (instead of the badges/engine size): 320 or B120. 1200 ute: 1200 ute: Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
yep, that's a 1200 ute. Stock, it comes with these badges: Ute means coupe utility -- a one-piece pickup body. They've been using the word in Australia since the 1930s, although lately kids are calling any kind of pickup a "ute". Quote Link to comment
jalen
turns out it was a 1600 here is pics for the whores. what do you guys think its worth? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That's a 521. With the grill, looks like a 71 or 72. I'd say get some. I love my truck. I bought mine in Backwoods, WA for $350. And that one looks like it's seen better days. Has the owner given you a starting price? Quote Link to comment

Hoping you didn't make a typo. ;) Quote Link to comment
jalen
i havent talked to the owner but a friend was gonna buy it a couple years ago for $400. i would probably offer him $250 and slam it and drop a ka in. idk if they fit but it would be a cool idea. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Yep, this is exactly what it looked like when I got it. Fact is, it looks good either way. Quote Link to comment

KA will fit. Jesusno2 has one awesome build thread so far. Nothing to far into the KA yet. But awesome. Icehouse has an awesome write-up in the How-to about putting a KA in a 620. Different, but close enough to get through it. If it's been sitting in a yard/grass, check to make sure the floors are still there. Bring a trailer as well. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Looks like a Datsun 1600. I think you'd have to love it to restore it. Or get it driving OK and pass it on... Is it worth buying and bringing it back to life the ratsun way? Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
It could be worthwhile. If the cab itself is solid, anything else damaged can be fairly easily swapped (when you can find straight replacements). Quote Link to comment
