izzo
I put up a wanted ad.. I am in need of rear axle for an 84 4x4 with 411 gears.. c200 In case anyone knows of one and can point me to it... I've been hunting and no luck. Got the XR done. runs rides great. Cleaned carb, it was fucking hammered. You can see the carb here. and how nasty it was... the pilot was same as dirty and blocked up... also this happened today :| Quote Link to comment
izzo
Traded the XR for a really nice 250 4 stroke. It's in amazing condition and super low hours/miles. Very kept up. Starts easy, rides great. lots of power. 3 Quote Link to comment

I own a red 1984 720 King cab 4x4. A 79 210 coupe, a 77 620 king cab. The suzuki dirt bike. That's where I'm at right now. May be getting rid of the 620. If anyone wants it PM me and ill give you a price. I also have the dirt bike i am going to put on craigs list. It's old, but its in amazing shape and super low hours. I looked very hard and long and couldn't find another one in this good of shape. Gonna list it at 1500 or trade. Hoping to round up some cash and pick up something non datsun. 60s/70s ford/plymouth or whatever. American metal.. inline 6 or v8.. IDK, just something to dick with and have a weekend cruiser... 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
Well. The day of the two wheel brap has ended. Meet the yamaha warrior 350 thumper. Seen it on CL last night. Kid said his grandpa bought it new, he rode it maybe five times around the block to show people. And used it hunting once. It's been sitting since. He said he got it a few days back but wants two wheels. So I traded him the Suzuki for it.He said it ran great once it ran, but it was a huge pain in the ass to start. Pulled it for days till it finally ran. I said oh hum.. Maybe carb needs cleaned eh? He doesn't know anything about cars/bikes or just motors really. So he's like yeah maybe idk.. So I give it a good once over. Check for leaks, check for rust. Check for VIN, check bearings etc. See what I'm dealing with... Great compression, suspension good still. Bearings tight. The cables needed a small adjustment to my liking and some fucking lube. You can tell they are original and hardly used. Same with the quad itself. There is no wear on the paint at all or side cases. No missing paint really cept a few rock chips. you can tell it's been grandpa owned. Only real damage sun fading. Guess grandpa had some good windows in his garage :|So after the checking over. I asked him.. You realize this is push button start too right? He said no its not... I lolled.. Said yeah man, see that "Electric 350" That means its electric start. Battery probably dead... He said no way man the lights come on tho!! he turned the lights on and nothing came on  Yeah dude, the battery probably held a small charge from you riding it earlier... Soooo... I said yeah man.. I think it's an OK deal.. Said you're coming out on top on this deal - But since you drove all teh way to my house instead of meeting me we'll call it close enough eh?.... We load up my bike and I said good luck man!So I get down there... I pull the seat off. Sure as shit. There is the original battery, oh and a bag of tools for it! These are the stock tools. Tools even say Yamaha on them! Haha too fucking cool! Now, he had a hell of a time starting this thing the day before. Now I hadn't heard it even run. I just rolled the dice. he ran it the day before and said it was a bitch to start. Pulled it for half an hour before it finally started... Well i text him and asked him if he used the choke at all... He said he didn't know it had one...I pulled the choke out. Second pull she came right to life and sounded like it just rolled out the show room. So other than some plastics, replacing a few cables down the road she is solid. I already priced out a battery at about 40 bucks online. Cables shouldn't be too expensive. I may just buy some lube and see if I can save these first. They still move just stiff like the lube is dried out. I bet he didn't want the bike because it was so hard to start lolol... Oh well, starts easy for me! he didn't realize there was a button to start it either... Blah blah pics bitch 1 Quote Link to comment
housew
NICE. i might need one of those 4 wheeled offroad contraptions for the wife. She won't ride a dirtbike, but i think she'd like being out on the trails. 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
NICE. i might need one of those 4 wheeled offroad contraptions for the wife. She won't ride a dirtbike, but i think she'd like being out on the trails. Get her one! They can be had and not break the bank. Modding them is fun and making them your own. You can dump some cash into them like anything else. But find a grandpa owned hardly used one and swoop on it. They are super fun. Quote Link to comment
izzo
Well shit on a stick. Got some oil coming out the crank breather. Couple things could be the cause. (this is on the yamaha quad). Could be too much oil, or to thin of oil was used. Could be oil filter clogged not letting it return to system. Could also be rings are shot. Damn it anyways.Swapping oil filter and measuring oil tomorrow and testing to see if that cures it. If not ill have to spend 150 bucks on a new piston/rings/top end gasket kit and a ball hone. izzo
The needle seat was leaking and someone left the gas on. Rebuilt the carb. Good to go. Flushed the motor. good to go on there too. It's had a complete tune up/flush, rebuild carb etc. New cables, lubed cables it had on it. Ready to rock! Cleaned up cosmetics on it yesterday. That dark stuff was embedded into the plastic. It wouldn't wash off. I had to get the old stickers off, and then sand the plastics... Some before shots... I have put in a fuck ton of work, sanding, cleaning, flushing, tuning, rebuilding, more cleaning, filters, plug, etc etc...Anyways. Before shots. And some after shots. I'm done with it now. Just need to go fill her up with some premium and go ride! 1 Quote Link to comment

izzo
Dude that's a sweet toolbox Yeah it is. And I just got more tools and filled it up. Tap and die set. Flare wrenches, random bits, and some other shits. That tool box is packed full. Time for moar tool boxes.... This guy broke down in front of my place. He wasn't able to figure out what was wrong. I traced it back to a fautly fuel pump. Gave him one I had laying around, and off he went. 4 days later I found the fuel pump in the bed of my truck. he brought it back when he bought a new one Random Couple weeks ago I went to go riding with my buddies at sand lake. Got to ride for about an hour. This is how my day started. Then shit hit the fan. Broken collar bone and 3k worth of damage. Ratdat is the man. Mailed me a few for my collection. The datsun community has brought me some great friends. All of the datsun guys I know, I have met here on Ratsun. We may hang out at another place, but I still visit here on the regular. Big shout out to MicroMachinery for swooping on this for me. I'll be down next week to get it! Foudn this on CL. dude had it listed for 40 bucks. Micro got it for me since it was local to him. Now I jsut have to go get it. 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
well I traded off the Warrior for a blaster. I tore it down, cleaned it up, repaired a few things while I had it apart. Got her all back together. Race cut the fenders and shit since I will be down at the dunes mostly. I have some more work to get done on it. But here's the progress. Quote Link to comment
