Simon89
Correct. The blanking plates are formed in a gray colored plastic. On a side note, for anyone in Australia that wants to change them to real lights, see this: http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk262/woerzw/100_1391.jpg See Non-Datsun parts ad for details... /End shameless plug/ In the US are those lights indicators or parkers? Yes, they are markers. modifying them to be indicators could be done, but with the rarity of the 73 housings, I have always been apprehensive in doing do. Quote Link to comment
Simon89
So they just light up red when you put your lights on. I have a guy in Japan that found me some rear lights but they are orange Quote Link to comment

Simon89
There lights turned up the other day for my SSS. It has a SSS badge on it, can anyone tell me if this is standard? I know they come with a Datsun but I didnt know if there is two different ones. They are from Japan not America. Also I got these rims for it. 15x8 -0 and 15x9 -10 I'm still waiting for my JDM front grille and fender mirrors to arrive too 1 Quote Link to comment
zerow
I have never seen one with the SSS emblem in the center garnish before. Usually has a 'Nissan' emblem in the place of that SSS badge. I will need to check my parts catalog to verify this. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
that looks like a set of 73 lights...... with a super glue special to me Quote Link to comment
ProjectFeint
pretty sure it's oem, if you look at the usdm reverse light there are two recessed holes for a badge 1 Quote Link to comment
bonvo
i would love a set of those lenses but im not sure if the badge on the reverse light is stock i highly doubt it actually Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
ill have to look closer at the 73 lights i have when i get home... Quote Link to comment
bonvo
unless the jdm lenses have holes in them to mount something to it that isnt the stock location that is the reverse light it doesnt make any sense to put a badge on a light the badge would just obscure the light Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
you say these postcards have already been printed?! oh what the hell, let's send 'em out then 1 Quote Link to comment
Simon89
The badge doesn't look glued on. If it is whoever did it did a great job. The little black squares appear to be attached to the sss triangle badge. I have only seen those badges on the j trims Quote Link to comment
Bentaxlebob
Does not look fake. But it could had been a well done job. Thing is there is no record of SSS 180Bs with these tail light assemblies. But it is possible. There are so many combinations in the Datsun world that yes it is possible. Middle East got some strange cars. There could be a SSS LHD version, or a RHD version with these tail lights. There are some numbers on the lense. SAE R71 IKI 4029-1 Anyone with a Datsun parts book handy ???? Quote Link to comment

Burabuda
Came across this to throw a spanner in the works. "starburst" badge was stuck onto the sss badge. doesn't belong there. is it even a 610 badge? at first i thought it might be the same as the interior filagree, but not quite... Quote Link to comment

Simon89
This is the rears sitting flush but they will need to be spaced out once I lower it. The front fender is just resting there it isn't bolted on. The front sit outside a bit. Once I paint the car and get it passes it's road worthy certificate I will lower it as much as I can get it. Simon89
The rims are 15"x8" 0 offset with 165/50r15's and the rear are 15"x9" -10 offset with 185/55r15's Quote Link to comment
