Simon89
...or that $750 is 1.2 DatsunsNot in Australia Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
$500 Datsuns can be found in AUS. In USA they often cost thousands. The 1.2 is a ballpark figure. Quote Link to comment
Simon89
Has anyone made aluminium door cards like these ones from techno toy tuning for their 610. Or know of someone who makes them? Quote Link to comment
bonvo
not the easiest things to do not sure if you have noticed but on the coups the door panels curve at the top and meet the window when you remove the panel there is simply nothing there its not just a matter of cutting out a piece of sheet and screwing it in it would actually take effort and ability to form metal on a side note who the hell BUYS aluminum door panels? in most cases (excluding 610) its just cutting a flat piece to match the stockers why would anyone pay someone to do that? 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
on a side note who the hell BUYS aluminum door panels? why would anyone pay someone to do that? They lack free time and/or skill but do not lack money. Seems simple to me? ^_^ 2 Quote Link to comment
Will
They lack free time and/or skill but do not lack money. Seems simple to me? ^_^ ...but the weight savings over steel door panels is INCREDIBLE! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Agreed . But what about door cards? Easy to make, yet heavier than the stock cardboard ... Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
...but the weight savings over steel door panels is INCREDIBLE! But who has steel door panels? The stock panels are normally made from pressboard/masonite covered in vinyl. The aluminum panels look cool, but often aren't any lighter. Quote Link to comment
Simon89
They are very over priced for what they are. I was just after some pics to see how creative the 610 guys are if anyone has attempted it Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You mean the door finisher panels. The actual door panels are steel Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Really? You're going to argue semantics? Right or wrong, the generally accepted name for this part in the US is "door panel". They only seem to call them "door cards" in the UK. Never have heard anyone call them "door finisher panels". Quote Link to comment
Simon89
Door cards/door trim/panels what ever you call them, I didn't mean to start an argument haha! Quote Link to comment
