Wide14u
if you use the 720 leafs you end up with a good ride not springy chester's ride great Quote Link to comment

mklotz70
good to know... I'm tryin to do it on the low $ because I'm still kicking the idea around of puttin in the 510 IRS that I've got taking up space in my basement. I keep going back and fourth on it. the gear ratio would sure be nice, but the mis matched lug patterns wouldn't tho.... The 510 wgn axles are easily modified for 5 lug....you'd just have to change the front to 5 lug, which would probably be easier than trying to match it up with 4 lug. Quote Link to comment
raggmann
I de-arched mine 4-1/2" I've always de-arched as opposed to blocks or in combo w/blocks. Right from my 1st 620 to my hardbody to my current 521. Quote Link to comment

I love nalo oics. I found my stolen 83 toyota 4x4 there. my truck rides pretty smooth considering, I would like to raise the exhaust up a bit, it,s the first thing to scrape. My steering is crap as of now and I think I should replace the front bushings, a daunting task for me. Quote Link to comment

oldskoolvws
ok i knew they culdnt it was a bet between me an my friend who said they could and i told him no You could, but why? Theoretically, any rear wheel drive car can drift, with the right horsepower and suspension setup. I guess to each his own, but it's not for me. Grab a Mustang or something, their more readily available and not as rare. Quote Link to comment

raggmann
How is the ride using the 521 springs? Dunno........the truck hasn't left the garage since I put it in there a year ago. Quote Link to comment
jon521
when you re-index the torsion bars, is a good practice to get a toe alignment? or is it fine? i read once that you should, but only in one post. The guy who owned my 521 before me lowered the front with the torsion bars but i doubt he did an alignment Quote Link to comment
raggmann
After ANY suspension mod's it's always good practice to have an alignment done. Weather you go up or down it'll save on tire wear. Quote Link to comment
jon521
Alright good to know! Thank you! Quote Link to comment
Master-O-Turbonics
I know that the 720 4x4 leafs are a little softer and flatter then stock 620 leafs. that is what i have in my truck So if 720 4x4 springs lower a 521, then will 521 springs put more lift on a 720 4x4? I know the 521 springs look more light duty, but I think you could keep the 720 4x4 overload springs with the 521 main springs... I just happen to have a 521 and a 720 4x4. :-) Quote Link to comment
