Doctoraudio
It is shorter than I wanted. Plus the cover tube is missing. They took it off. Whenever I decide too take it off again. I will get all of that fixed. Working on getting the drive line from hitting the body. That is my biggest problem.I think I have figured out how to do everything else! I really don't want to cut intothe drive line tunnel. So I am trying to figure out an easy and cheap way to do that. I just want to dropped the back to 1 and 1/2 inches the front need to go 1 inch. I would be very happy with that stance! Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
So I gave up looking for the right spacers for my rims. I went on ebay abd bought me a set.\ Should be perfect 20mm bolt-on spacers. I was worried about using spacers but these are made for the 240sx. So, they should be perfect for my 510. Almost ready to buy my light kit. Should be pretty cool looking. Plus give me another 100 feet of night viewing. I am buying four semi selad lenses. Later I will convert to hid lights. Just getting as much done as possible. The lenses with out the bulbs are 120.00 bucks. I can get the lenses and bulbs for 99 bucks shipped. Should be a great upgrade, to the stock lighting system. Soon as the spacers show up, going to go get my alignment done. Then the front will be set. The ride one the larger tires, is pretty smooth in and out of corners. So, it should get much better. I must say this has been an enjoyable project car. Since I have had it. I could not drive it for only 8 days total. Not bad, I must say. The last upgrades have been the most noticeable outside of fixing the springs and rear shocks. I still want to get some KYB's for the front. It will happen. I really have only one problem with the car and that is the driveline hits the tunnel when the kids are in the back seats. I wish I could stop it from hitting. It is looking like the only thing I can do is raise the tunnel up. It sucks there is nothing. Maybe someone else has a idea. I am open for suggestions. Later! Quote Link to comment

Doctoraudio
Thank you, it really means a lot! I am truely loving this car now. With the padding I just put in, I can use my speaker phone! Turly awesome. I will get some pictures tomorrow of the inside. I have to reseal my floor Seats required new holes. Because the new seats are about 4 inches wider than the old seats. Oh yeah I have two sets of seats. One set, is out of a 1985 pickup. I also have rails for the 85 pickup. Also tomorrow I will mount the rails for the back section. After tomorrow no one will know what is in the back. Then I can build the first speaker box. Looking forward to the point when I can hear some sounds. Now I just use my cellphone. Now I going to go take a hot shower and then some MW3 on the PC. Later guys and girls. Doctor has now left the building. Quote Link to comment

Doctoraudio
Yes, brother. I am going there this year for sure! I am driving from Portland to New Orleans! I am going to be there for a month and then drive back home. The only thing I am worried about is the driveshaft is still hitting the frame. I will get something done before that for sure! Doctoraudio
Okay, I have been busy getting ready for Canby this year. I removed the sections of the engine compartment. Then scub the area with engine degreaser. Use 3M pads (white, green, red) to get that area clean and ready for paint. Lay down an eichting primer, then used my mini spay gun to spay that area. There is some runs, but the bear and rusted metal just had to be covered up untill next year. Hope you like the pictures. Quote Link to comment

Doctoraudio
Okay, I was outside from 9:45 am till 8:45pm. I put my steering box back on and greased all the fittings. Went on faster than it came off. Looks better too. I replaced my rear brake shoes, I had to get my drums turned. Nothing bad just time to do them. So now they are done. Since, I have had that driveline slapping noise or driveline wrap. I have been thinking how do I get it to stop. Well after talking to a good friend of mine. He told me of a trick he used once in an emergency. So taking his idea. I decided that I was going to shave one side of each of the 2" drop blocks, until I got the right angle of the driveshaft. I started with shaving off a 1/4 inch and then ended up taking off another 1/4 inch. For a total of 1/2 an inch. Well I have right right angle and I am running the two inch blocks again. I had the kids get into the car and checked it. Before I shaved the blocks the driveline would disapear when they got into the car. It moves now but it is level when they are in the car. While the kids was inthe car I had my 265lb nieghbor hop up and down on the bumper. Everything is perfect. I am proud I got that one done. I also dropped off all the parts that are going to get powder coated tomorrow. Which will give me one day to put it alll together! Looks like I am not going to beable to get out of going to Canby this year. Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
Oics tomorrow, I am freaking going to bed! Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
Okay I got everything back. All the parts look great and I didn't have an issue putting back where thre belong. Before getting the brake master cylinder done. U decide to go with a bigger one. Went from the 3/4 one to the 13/16 size one. I had the rebuild kits, so I rebuilt it and the clutch cylinder too. Below is the angle of the of the driveshaft now. This pitcure you can see the back is lower! Quote Link to comment

Doctoraudio
Okay, I am black!Opps, I meant I am back!LOL! Okay I haven't been driving my car.I lost my oil filler hole cap, and it never got any more hotter than 10 degrees on the temp gauge. So little to say, I was called by a buddy to come back over and clean his driveway.Which I did!I was so pissed about cleaning his driveway.I left it dripping in my driveway.I don't mind a dirty car. But. it makes me sick to open a hood and see oil all over everything. Okay, in the tradition of no one working on my car but me.I knew my camber was off, because two sets of tires in the front says so. Good thing I didn't go out and buy new tires for it just.I surely would have been pissed and the wife would have just pointed it out over and over.Mine has a tendency to say, spend the dam money and don't half ass it!Well in the sprite of she is almost always right. We have to move soon and I don't know if the next place we move will have a garage.So. I am doing some things to the car that I don't want to pull up at a buddies house to do. So here goes my mad rush to get done! 1. Camber plates installed: 2. New front tires: 3. Alignment: 4. Hid headlights: 5. Carpet: 6. Headliner: So lets get started! 1 Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
Camber plates: I bought these about a week ago. 79.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MK1-Universal-Fit-Triangle-Camber-Plate-Plates-Strut-Mount-Datsun-510-810-/160947250283?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item257934246b&vxp=mtr Seems to be well made and works great! I got the jacks out and two jack stands.Went to work. I also replaced my stock struts oil. 15w Seems fine now leaking. Was just more of a bitch to put back in. Here is some pics. Because of the tree mount, which is removed from the install.I have ended up with a lower front end then I had started with. Now it seems to be about a inch lower! But it is all working great. I like how easy it is to adjust, if needing too!The guys that will do my alignment will have a easier time doing it! 1 Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
Okay. I drove all over town looking for a set of used 205/40/16 I found a really nice set. Dunlop 204/4016 90% thread but I don't have the money to buy all four right now. Besides the tires in the back are 90% and work great for all types of driving. And are bigger than the 205/40/16 i want to put on the front! Now the wife said wait until the holidays is over and I can get what I want. So, I will wait a couple weeks! Headlight lens were ordered and will be here to pick up tomorrow. Also got some H4 bulbs to for 60 bucks for a set. I think I will put the HID system on my Xmas list! Not something complicated for anyone to get confused with. Here is what I ordered! United Pacific Five 3/4 Inch Headlight - Replaceable H4 Code:UP32191 Price: $14.31 Cost me 25 bucks each here in Portland.I am going to run two sets anyway. So next set will come from these guys. http://www.bigrigchromeshop.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=BRCS/PROD/HDLITB/UP32191 Carpet should be here later today! So I should be outside putting in my custom super bright waterproof Leds'.But I think I am going to play Call of duty Ghost for a little bit! Thanks for reading and later's! 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
What the duece man,, not one of these were my suggestions. I have seen those on Ebay how do you figure out where to make the holes for the strut tower bolts?? Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
I looked at the ones you said and they looked bigger and ugly too.I have one the original Nissan camber plates I got from 2012 Canby! I drew two lines on two axis and then used the old one as a template to drill the holes in the new ones! They work!I also replaced the strut oil, I know this will keep the tires on the ground and won't have to think twice about a speed bump. I have one of the bottom plates like these. Seems to be working fine.I drove her around the block for about ten mins.Smooth as ice. Anything else a may have missed? Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Not having holes is the reason i didn't look to hard at them.. My car isn't nowhere near as low as yours so i don't really have any problem with fast tire wear.. Quote Link to comment
