Remove the rear side panels in the hatch area and check the gas filler tube. Find out what is rattling in the back hatch area. Put the Alarm in. Scotch brite the windows and trim to get the over spray off her. Well, I think that is enough to do in a day! Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2011 So, yesterday I flushed the radiator and heat core and they was pretty clean. ( read below on how the radiator and heater core got flush out! The reason the blower wasn't working was two reasons one which is easy to fix power to the blower was not there. Section of wire not connected at all. The other reason is , the fan armature was dirty and pitted really bad plus the shaft spacer was gone. So I removed all the pits and made it smooth with My R/C car motor commentator machine and then recut the brushes since they had more than 80% of them left . I only had to remove about 10 % to get then to seat. Lube the motor shafts with lithium grease. Put it all back together and then let it run in a bucket of water for 10 mins with some dawn in there. and wow it works perfect now! I used scotch brite on all the trim on the car and it looks much better took about a hour out of the day. I went to Autozone and got new heater core hoses. It had started leaking pretty on the way there. So, I changed the one that was leaking there, it took two mins. Didn't loose much antifreeze at all. I was feeling pretty proud of myself. So, I left Auto zone with a new hose on and it was not leaking at all. I got ready to leave and was waiting on traffic to let me cross the street. Which meant I was sitting there about 4 mins. When a lady stop and let me in. I step on the gas and proceeded to enter traffic. As I shifted enter 3 rd gear. whoosh was the sound I head inside the car. Antifreeze everywhere. I covered my face and did not get burned. But I forgot to protect an area. Hot antifreeze hit my nuts. I pulled over and jumped out the car and almost dropped my pants in traffic to cool them off. I almost pissed my pants just to cool them off quicker. As soaked as my pants was from antifreeze nobody would have every known. Once I got the kink out of the out let hose, I filled it back up with antifreeze and went home. The wife asked what happened and just laughed at me. Little to say that was the end of working on the car, for the day! Quote Link to comment

Today I was on craigslist and saw this and just gave the guy a call! Well turns out he lived by where I use to! 5 speed 620 tranny. So, I went and got it for 50.00 bucks. I think I scored. Someone is watching over me. Every gear is working and the gear oil looks like new. now it needs bath! Will install it this weekend at the latest. Quote Link to comment

Two, is most people don't like them. I got up this morning, with a pretty good laugh. right sown the street a guy lost his rims at work. Plus he says he has seen the car they have on camera, driving up and down or street. The crooks , didn't see tall the signs posted at his work about cameras. Or maybe they don't care! No carl alarm and no rim locks. I have both plus my rims make the young boys got eww! Quote Link to comment

The car is really starting to look like one color! Also removed the 2" blocks that was making the drive line rub against the body. Here is a few pictures of what happened! Doctoraudio Posted March 27, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 27, 2011 Well, I went and hung out with some other datsun guys last night. I met 808DA6, What a nice guy. He and his wife are very cool. I talked a lot, which means I was very comfortable. Last two days I have had problems starting my 510. Looks like I going to get a new starter. Autozone has the starter for 35 bucks. So, that will get replaced today. A vacuum leak some where around the carb! One bolt is really loose, looks like I need to replace them anyway. So, I will take care of that before I go and get my new door handle from Sinnful. I put about 65 miles on my car in the last two days. Stop in to the gas station, and filled up. Was totally funny the guy was going to try and push more into the car. 2 gallons after driving 2 days! I like those figures. I am set to put the trans later , but I may put it off to make sure I get the car running smoother. Starting without me smacking it with a hammer! I also don't like the way the power wires are setup under the hood. Since this is kind of what I did at my last job. I think I am going to fix that in a day or two. My wife loves when I start re wiring stuff because I have a knack for it! She just doesn't like the 100 bucks worth of wire I am going to need to redo it all. This one of the last Wafer polishers I build from the ground up. Myself, I had to show the boys I could still wire like a champ even after a year of not doing it! As you can see, I did okay! Pulled the crab off and replaced the bent bolts and used gasket sealer. Took me 1 hours because I had to get a buddy to drive me to Parkrose hardware. Thanks Chris. When I have problems with anything that uses bolts, I call Chris. Shit when I have problems with anything I call Chris. He is my bestest friend! Chris is my back up and sometimes, I am his witness. I make trouble and he cleans it up. Hehehehe! Got a new drivers door handle and window crank! Got those parts from bradah Dave. He is the hook up. Oh yeah I move the battery ground wire to the engine and not the tranny. Lights are brighter and blower runs faster! We are going to have a couple days of decent weather. I may have to make one soon. Had some rattling in the roof and used some EPP. Which I had from one of my planes. No more rattling. Went for a ride and holy moly it is like riding in a delta 88. Now, I just have to work on the engine being quieter. I am going to go see the exhaust man and get a quote. All I want is totally peacefulness at 5 grand on the tach. Which I don't have yet. I gave one to Datto510 in his wagon and he has a blustreak resonator and the thing is quiet. face the facts the more chambers the more quiet. stay away from Flowmaster.Dynomax has a SuperTurbo also maybe in a small size. I have one in my 521 and its goos also. better quality than a Thrush or Cherrybomb turbo 2. But Dyanomaz owns Thrush now anyways. plus made in USA squid/chicken Luau!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
