You should be able to just oblong the 4 holes that bolt crossmember to car,, yours looks very beefy ....your upper trans mount looks different also ,,mine have all been flat ..like this picture but the trans would bolt where plate is.. This is not a 5speed ,,,,,,just showing difference in our brackets your dogleg should bolt right where plate bolts on.. (edit) i have done auto to dogleg swap in the past year, just not this car.

But you could fill up a yard with 47-48 chevys for a few thousand..

I couldn`t find it ,,but i think there`s a thread about that truck on this site..Somebody was thinking of buying it and was trying to figure out what running gear it had..In the thread it was almost completely covered with boxes and crap and jammed into a tiny garage. Redeye knew what the running gear was,,, Dana something or another ..

I put a 3 inch body lift on my old 1980 720 and ran 7.50x15 bias ply traction tires ( tall skinny snow ) all the way around and i think i only took a few hours to install , and it didn`t affect handling or drive line angle..You will have to move steering wheel lower and cut the bottom of fan shroud off and lengthen gas filler hose ( i didn`t ) thats about it. reading it over makes me feel old...do they even make bias ply tires anymore ?..

I think you can check all the circuits your self ,,just set multimeter to amps and take out existing fuse, ( or whatever ) and put meter across where fuse used to be and turn circuit on and off..Except the starter circuit which probably takes to many amps for a home meter to handle. Just put the positive side to the " most " positive and the negative to the " most " negative ....If that makes sense

I don't know any body that can shorten but the 8 inch would be strong enough to hold up to your power output and a little lighter..and about the same aftermarket support. The old 8 inch not the newer one. 8.8 or whatever

Yeah the extra gas can with gas in it is a good idea especially east Montana into Wyoming towns get very far apart.. The good thing is gas is major cheap in Wyoming ...When we do the South Dakota trip and back i usually don`t take nothing but basic stuff as to give the gremlins the finger to show them whose bawse.,,kinda a ward off evil spirits type deal. At least there aren`t the long radio dead spots like there used to be...( honey do you hear that .??? No i cant the radio is to loud ; ) Make a effort to go out to Devils tower just past Gillette it`s not as far off the freeway as it looks ( huge roads ) and pretty epic if you`ve never been.,, they have those camper cabins at the KOA at the base. And if you drive 50-55 mph through MT and WY ..you are going to get run the fuck over..
