  1. Good memory  Forgot I posted it here  It was pure coincidence. I had just come back from helping a buddy with his 350Z and took my camera to shoot some cool pics on the back roads where he lives. Stopped to get a drink before stopping home, and there he was.
  2. Tristin, any idea what power train they have? I can't tell by the pictures. That thing looks like it would be an absolute awesome thing to drive. Screw you hippie  :fu: :fu:
  3. Ran across this on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Other-original-1971-Datsun-Nissan-Cony-Pick-Up-Truck-/110973720305?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item19d68c96f1#ht_500wt_1182 Cony truck? Is this some stock 70's Nissan? Or... idk some aftermarket funk machine?
  4. Been dealing with extreme asthma for the last 5 days straight. Doctors can't figure out why. Can't even drive my truck since i can't walk down the stairs across the yard without being out of breath.

Yeah man, I got just about everything you can name. lol

Freak, possible. Too many possibilities TBH.

  5. An interesting look at a coilover setup on a Yota. This one didn't have torsion, but essentially did a lot of what you want to do. Ditch the stock components for coilovers. All his control arms look like production stuff, but someone had to make it right?
  6. You could always extend the shock mounts UP and run a coilover, but there's probably more to it then just that. I've been reading into that a lot for my own truck. I'll try to find some more information for you. edit: Here's something I was poking through a few nights back. It's pretty much all Ranger info with the twin I beam setup, but regardless is still some pretty useful information. When it comes down to it, you're probably gonna end up updating ALL of the front suspension. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/WheelTravel.html
  7. My damage on my truck after my accident was nearly identical. You CAN pull it out, but it's going to take a lot of 'finesse' and careful hammering. Probably going to be more difficult on a 510 then my 620 though, since I had more metal to grab.
  8. God that car looks SOOOOO good. How did we manage to stray so far from this sexy metal beasts to this ugly crap we have now?
  9. You should just post pics in this thread so everyone can see. Sounds pretty good for the $$
  10. Christ guys! You scared the girl away. Damn you all.
  11. A cool guy that works at the gas station near my house. Happened to have my Nikon on me. _DSC0126_HDR by metalmonkey47, on Flickr
  12. Really what you need to do is sit in the car, and have someone hold them to the fenders and get an idea of where you can view them best. There is no 'right' place to put them, just somewhere you can see them. They only function if they're within your view.
  13. Did you check it on level ground? Oil settles to one side, so if you were on a slight incline, all the oil settles right. I've done that before.
  14. Radim, if I could source some local to you, would it make sense to do it that way, to cut shipping cost to ONE way only? What's it cost in your experience to widen one wheel? Also curious about that. An extra inch would be nice for finding tires.
  15. Jim, read the following thread. It will help you create an effective for sale add. Just edit your original post with the new add you create, don't make a new thread. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/30807-how-to-create-an-effective-4-sale-ad/
  16. I think the idea is pretty awesome. I ALWAYS loved the look of the stock wheels, but they were way too narrow for me to enjoy. I like aggressive cornering every once in a while, and you can't do it on narrow tires. Not to mention how light the truck feels on 185's in the rear. I could eat rubber like a madman though. Pierce, if you could find out, and get me a number I'd love to chat with the guy about it. I'd love to daily some wide ass stockers, and keep the 15x10's for meets/shows. Someone's already rubbed a bumper across mine once and left a nice big gash at work
  17. I've been playing with this idea for some time now, just looking for some input. I thought it might be awesome to widen the stock steelies to a 14x7 or 14x8, and run wider tires. might look pretty badass and still fit well in the fender with the right spacers. I always though the stockers looked fantastic, but were too narrow to look good with everything else I have going on, especially on a really low truck. Pics for reference. 19. Why would you want to do that though? Aftermarket piston options?
  20. Sounds good man, don't blame ya. Shipping is a killer. I'll probably still have this, so let me know and we can work something out.
  21. Ditching the clutch fan for an electric. Maybe now my truck will be more enjoyable for cold weather driving?

Also great if you got AC, my doesn't.......YET.

The only reason I can see using an electric fan is when there is absolutely no other way, like when a conversion puts the stock fan way below the radiator making it basicly useless, or like that 320/VG30 conversion where there was no room.

      I'm BLUE

Smaller engine you can notice a power difference in mechanical vs electric.
