Master_o_turbonics is building an LZ23 with a closed port A87, cam, forged pistons, Z20 rods, etc with Z20E EFI and turbo for his 521 wheelin rig. We were actually just talking about it a couple of hours ago. In his words: But of course, he's a fab guy. Gets paid to build race spec cages for BMW's, and builds GTR race cars. Totally different ball game.

The L20 and L20B are completely different motors. The L20 is an inline 6, and was produced (not sure on exact years) around the mid to late 60's up to '71 in I believe, the Laurel, Bluebird, C230, and some other various cars. Then you have the L20ET variant (turbo) that was sold in the early 80's as a straight 6 fuel injected and most commonly seen in the Skyline. There is an L20P propane, but was produced in limited numbers. None of these are what you want. The L20B was produced in 1975 to 1980, and is an easy fit for your 620. It came stock in 620's from 75-79 and was in the '80 720. It's easiest to find in a 620, but did come in some late 510s, 200SX, 710, and 610. Not hard to find at all.

Just my input, I HATE my H4 housings, and they're just like those. I found that they didn't project as far as the sealed beams. I've been looking for some BMW projectors.

I wouldn't say so, considering we have over 13,000 members and it seems like a large number can't even figure out what spark plugs or oil filters to use on their stock L16. Or that there 81 210 isn't a "B210." Keep in mind, the kid in question works in the service department at Mazda on some pretty intense cars. Not just a daily driven Mazda 6. He's proven himself to have some pretty out of the box thinking and great skills. I'm for sure part of the 90%. Where did I say I couldn't adjust points? You need a Datsun first :poke:

What's wrong with letting an L20B rev to 7K? ;) Personally, I like revs, but IMO the L20B is a more fun motor to run on the street. OR an L18. Can't argue with short stroke goodness.

Over an L16? Yeah, no doubt. Not to mention, L20b being 25% larger has more power potential then an L16. In the 70s, BRE ran an L16 with severe mods that made nearly 200hp. Imagine what you could do with an L20b

Really? I find that statement to be blatantly ignorant. Considering the cars hand built by the owner on nice coil overs with a built 7M-GTE. No stretched tires, stickers, fender vents.. what makes it a ricer? The kid that built it probably has more experience doing actual mechanical work (not just oil changes) then 90% of the people on the forum.

Wowww that 710 has an awesome faded patina! Imagine that thing a few inches lower with panasports or some SSR Longchamps on it.

It would benefit you to post pictures in your FS add. It will generate a lot more interest in what sounds really cool. (is it this one by chance? Not primer, but who knows it could have changed in the last year)

Josh_t (I think that was his handle) stopped by my house yesterday and we talked for a little bit.
