  1. Maybe I'll just save it for new years. and be like...... surprise!
  2. She approved. I have not decided on it yet...... soooooo...... :fu:
  3. Monkeygirl insisted on contributing  FUCCCKKK that. I'll stick to googling
  4. That's a pretty interesting history. I oddly enough, like the color combo.
  5. It was pretty solid  We had it on two stands, and it gave us more then enough room to get around.
  6. BUMP! So we went and picked Daniel up a nice L28 and some goodies today near Stone Mountain, to transport to his fab shop. Got there and turns out I met the guy a month or so ago at a meet. The easy way to unload from a trailer... when you have access that is! So now there's a donor L28 for this pig, and it should be done VERY soon. Within a few short months hopefully. _DSC0136 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr _DSC0139 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr _DSC0140 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr Probably one of the coolest parts of the truck is the bedsides, mounted on 4WD hubs that rotate the bedside out for easy access  Also, he's got a pretty quick L28ET Maxima with fresh coilovers  Just needs spacers in the front so he can go lower. _DSC0129 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr _DSC0127 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr
  7. Been thinking about it man, I'll keep you in mind!  Jon that's nuts haha. I wouldn't mind having a shop, but lack of money/experience would keep me out of the business. Plus, I couldn't take those east coast winters :poke: Went with Master_o_turbonics to get some stuff for his truck, and he got me this nice little close ratio ZX 5 speed  We cleaned it up, and stuffed it into my truck. The old 4 speed was on it's way out. Lots of input shaft play, and leaking like a sonovabitch. I cleaned it up a bit while he pulled the 4-speed out. Flipped the transmission over, and dumped about a quart of water out followed by some purple mess. :geek: (Royal Purple gear oil I guess?) We flushed it out and it came out pretty clean. Put it back together, and voila! Monkey has overdrive  Althouth, the reverse gear is making a hell of a noise, and popping out of gear, so this one will be rebuilt/replaced soon. (watch for updates to his thread in a few minuets!) _DSC0141 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr The NEW 5 speed, after cleaning it up  _DSC0145 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr And the old worn out, leaking 4 speed! _DSC0146 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr
  8. He was rubbing tires on the coilovers  Need spacers/rims before the front can sink any lower.
  9. 84 Maxima. Coilovers, L28ET, etc. _DSC0127 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr
  10. ZX 5 speed in! Forward gears, check. REV gear? We don't need backup...

  11. Looks like someone tried to remodel their kitchen, into their Datsun. WTF
  12. I have a buddy with some Recaro's from a Swift GTI that I'm gonna pick up. Always liked the look of stock recaro's
  13. Except the LD20T-II which has two. Assuming the second is for the injection pump. http://nissandiesel.dyndns.org/viewtopic.php?t=1086&sid=11f574d8594f327d302c68b6620462a4
  14. First one is a LD20-T. You can see the words 'Turbo' cast into the top of the intake manifold. I would say after looking at some pics on google.... both are LD20's. Upper is just the turbo'd
  15. Same can be said about a Datsun truck. Different strokes for different folks.
  16. I average about 25 mpg around town in my 620, but I'm really light on the foot. Lately been doing around 20mpg carrying a little extra weight. My old 210 did as good as 40 MPG with a Weber carb, which was amazing.
  17. Depends on what you get. Shouldn't be hard to find a nice set of buckets used for less then $200.
  18. Wow, that is just an awesome piece. Gonna forward this around.
  19. One wheel up on this Z car @ Road Atlanta this past weekend. Lots of cool pics just hit Facebook.
  20. It's okay Jrock, I stopped taking you seriously after the whole drifting thread :ninja: Plus I think you kicked a little sand my direction
