YES IT IT A 1 WIRE. It's an internally regulated GM one wire unit. 45amp output, but still better then the stock alternator. I have one sitting in my garage brand new from Autozone. They're pretty cheap, and only cost around $50 at Autozone and come with a lifetime warranty. I'll take pictures of mine tomorrow for comparison. Don't feel like waking up the parents.

Old plate is old. Dated about 1985-1986 according to the dealer that is still around. Polished the lip on the Z wheels. Should I paint the centers black? What color? I HAVE NO CLUE.

No, I don't think it will strip the paint off, unless there is rust. My tank didn't so much as fade in the electrolysis, and was still glossy when it came out. Although, I did notice that the rust doesn't all literally fall off, a lot of it ha to be wiper off, or wire brushed. My anode was too small for what I was trying to do, so I need to re-asses it before doing any more. I might go weld up a bigger anode out of some steel scraps laying around.
