  1. For jetting check Datsun1200.com I'd link to the carb section with jetting, but Chrome won't let me on Datsun1200 for some reason.
  2. Wait! Don't do that.. i want it
  3. Mike, do you have any pictures of the brackets used on the 78/79? I wouldn't mind making a few brackets out of some angle steel. I'm getting an awesome deal on a tank that seems to be in perfect shape Deal! That's way more then what I payed
  4. Are there any major differences in the gas tanks from '76 to '79? I may have found a perfect '79 gas tank for cheap that I'd like to use. It's on a long bed truck but mine's a '76 short bed. And before you say it, yes I searched because I answered one question already
  5. Got down the first coat of bedliner under the hood. Looks good so far!

  6. newbsauce. Monkey refuses to comment more in fear of the hammer..
  7. Bracket looks fairly common from what I can see on my Android. Pull it off and swing by Autozone. Check out the energy suspension.
  8. I think I can say pretty confidently that my truck is a very low 156K. Everything I've found so far reflects that.
  9. LS1..... SWEET! Hope you're financially ready Think big diff, BIG brakes to stop all that extra motor, and a nice suspension to hold it all together.
  10. Yup! Straight up. I got it free, so I'm just looking for one that fits. asap!
  11. I don't mind most of them. I had a Japanese guy (Straight up Datto fanatic) telling me about his collection that was destroyed when during their floods. That's why he moved stateside. He offered to buy my truck, and told me that it was the first Datsun he'd seen since he moved here. Another nice lady that shops at my Autozone drives an '87 Maxima. Pristine, well cared for! I'm the only person she'll talk to, or else she leaves.
  12. Anyone ever used spray in bedliner to paint an engine bay? I think it would give good contrast to the shiney parts under my hood...

Got some! I got the roll in Duplicolor Kevlar coat stuff. I paid $28 for a quart that should do about the whole bay.

  13. KUDOS. Could have handled it better for sure, but I'm glad to see some real level of parenting and discipline. Now, if he follows through with his punishment, then it'll be cherry. When my parents punished me as a kid, I NEVER got off easy. It pisses me off seeing how terrible parent are these days. Kids are growing up in the wrong environment these days and very few parents are taking the initiative to make sure they turn out right. Seems like they're part of a family with a good deal of money. Wouldn't surprise me that she came out like a spoiled brat. Hope she learned her lesson, because one day in life when her parents are no longer around to help her, she's gonna be due for a great awakening.
  14. Need on in good condition on the cheapz for my 620! Bolt in preferred. I don't much care for driveshaft shortening unless you have one of proper length to go with it. Would like to keep it somewhat local.
  15. Astounding! Now go buy it. That old girl will clean up quite nice.
  16. A15 block is taller too IIRC.
  17. Yup! And confirmed my suspicion that at some point, the timing chain broke. There's a single roller that was sitting in the pan and some other scraps. I inspected the chain and it looks brand new.
