  1. Yup, often wonder why a classic car ends up in these yards........no apparent damage etc etc. With Denvers emission testing, I can see why on 76 & newer stuff like the late 620's end up there. Many people simply don't want to deal with selling an old car, many thinking they are only worth the $100-300 that these yards will pay! If that really was a clean 620, I've been ready to pay up to $1000 for the right truck, only to be used a s a hauler for all my 510 crap! BTW let me know if you find ANY 510 cars or parts that you are not interested in. Do you need any 720 parts? I'm a junkyard rat, and hit the LKQ's & PaynPulls often, on the north/northeast side of Denver, and always watch for this stuff! There is a slate blue '80 720 at PaynPull off of Pecos right now.........L20B + 5 speed, but they want too much mulla for what I am looking for. :)
  2. Thanks for the heads up buzzbomb! A few months ago CO Auto Parts advertised that they had two 620's, told me over the phone that morning that they had them, I drove down there and the guy at the counter told me that they were not in the yard. Maybe it's time to try them again, but wasn't happy about wasting 3 hrs of my Saturday that time!
  3. I tried to PM message you, but it doesn't look like you have set it up under your account.......?? I have a really nice pair of Acura Integra seats available. Many early seats are hard to find without rips & tears, these are nice! Also have a really cool pair of 1980's aftermarket seats, but they need reupholstering. Call or PM me!
  4. That you Clint? Welcome to the forum! Hope the 510 is doing well.
  5. Let me know as early as possible. Post here or PM me! TJ
  6. There are 3-4 self service yards in Co Springs........I have't been in months, so the pickin's might be good! CO has LKQ & Pay~n~Pull, so you can check out online for locations. A buddy & I have been thinkin' about a road trip down from Denver on a Sat or Sun, you around?
  7. Hell of a road trip! I'm jealous............
  8. Sorry I missed it! I now have Saturday's free, so I can play again!!
  9. Make the "ribs" full length without a "flat" area for a logo, OR go ahead and stamp the "flat" area, offer a FutoFab emblem or a Ratsun emblem (again, can't make a Datsun emblem), the buyer can make their own emblem, or leave it blank...................
  10. Good point yellowdatsun. That is something Dave should start looking into soon, as more & more product comes to light..........the use of the DATSUN or NISSAN name reproduced actually ON a product, like the sill plates. That may be different than using the name on an aftermarket part. I wonder if Pete Brock would have any input, OR the Nissan guy here on the forum?? Sometimes, it's just a licensing agreement with the corporate lawyers.
  11. That is a beautiful sight!! 2dr & 4dr aluminum threshold/scuff/sill plates at the bottom of the door jamb, INCLUDING the small rear piece next to the rear seat bottom on the 2dr! These are VERY hard to find in good condition. Maybe even consider making them a l'il heavier gauge (thicker) for added strength, cuz the original ones would "dent" if you dragged your shoe/boot across them!!
  12. This is a HUGE step forward for the 510 market! Being involved in the British parts market for many years, where you can buy just about anything for an MG or Triumph, this is great news! These new parts aren't gonna be at 1980's pricing, but at least we can now get the parts!! Dave, I wish you the best of luck in this new endeavor.
  13. I'm jealous.................Woodward Dream Cruise is KILLER!! I didn't go in 2012, but had been going the previous 8 years or so. Yup, 99% domestic, ~1% import!!
  14. My guess is that prices will likely be available from FutoFab AFTER he visits the manufacturer overseas, and calculates the landed costs to his shop in New England............... A new adventure!!
  15. The fenders etc etc can ship via UPS etc, but my guess is that the hoods will ultimately require TRUCK FREIGHT shipping.............too big & flat to package safely AND still make it in under the UPS dimensions. It will be in everyone's best interest to combine orders for hoods, for example. When I was in Michigan, I would order 3-4 windshields from ProSource in New England, and then offer them to midwest guys, but they had to pick them up (I even delivered a few over the years on road trips!). Big flat sheetmetal parts are VERY prone to shipping damage!!
  16. Man, this is way cool! I haven't been on here in a few months (busy with new job), and seeing this was a HUGE surprise!!
  17. Very cool.........Dave @ FutoFab is the guy to do it!!
  18. ...............the510realm classifireds are gonna get busy!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Complaint.........yup! I haven't had time to read thru this thread (must be LOTS of input.....41 freakin' pages!!), but I can tell ya right now that the good positive replies from other members trying to help locate and/or identify parts wanted AND for sale, will be GREATLY missed.
  20. Lucky for us, we can count on more MORE MORE!! from Bob................ Darrel, we likely walked past each other, but up & down the opposite paddock lanes!
  21. Yup, not on here much in the last few months......focusing on the new job (www.sportscarcraftsmen.com). Colorado?? I'm like a kid in a candy store  , with all of the classic cars running around on a daily basis, even in the snow! There are also plenty of classic cars in the LKQ's & Pay n Pull's..............no 510/610's, but quite a few 620/720's & Z-cars! I haven't rented any shop space yet, like I had in Michigan, but I'm looking now.................gotta get back to wheelin' & dealin' the 510 stuff!! No cars until I have shop space, so.............
  22. We were there before 9am, and left around 3pm (riding in an MGB V8, so wanted to avoid the dark skies & possible rain!!). I didn't see ya!!
  23. Man, what happened to the classifieds section? At first glance, it is very cumbersome to use!! I haven't been spent much time here in the last a few months, after a big move to Colorado & a new job..........is there another thread on this? Were there issues with the old layout?? :crying:
  24. Nice Jake! A heart transplant......................thump thump thump.
  25. All I can say is that Bob is nutz. He quickly climbed up thru the pack each race, at the vintage race on Sunday @High Plains Raceway, only to hang on the tails of the fastest cars! Great fun to watch him in action!! The best part about watching him run, was hearing other people around me saying stuff like "What the hell is that car?" and "I don't think it's running a stock drivetrain!". Somebody had commented on how far back his seat was..........when he was done racing, and "relaxed", he had his arm hanging out thru the window...........the BACK window, BEHIND the B-pillar!!
