My take is they are SCRAMBLING these days in panic to try to show Americans that they care, so they can maintain the House. Latest Reps intel, is the dems are losing ground quickly in regards to the 2022 House seats.................I hope that is true. Most Americans are NOT paying attention to the train wreck they have created, so many trust & allow. It is mind boggling how many people I see, that think everything is OK............cuz they have blinders on. The dems "bury" other things in big huge bills (I can only assume that the Reps have done the same in the past..........??), cuz most people will NOT take the time to study. The dems hope that the people will believe their LIES & not come to realize they have other agenda's (other things) buried. By the time those people realize it, it is too late. The infrastructure bill is a JOKE. The Reps called them out, so they negotiated & made the bill smaller...............was it originally $3T, now it's negotiated down to $1.9T......?? Again, it is a joke. I could be wrong on these numbers, but it is a train wreck.............

Have them strap it on a pallet, as most haulers will not want to do it otherwise.............hopefully the junkyard or the hauler will have a pallet jack (floor) to load in a trailer. Loading with a forklift on an open trailer is usually easier.

Clean the latch, especially INSIDE the door & re-lube it. Sometimes just gummed up & dirty, sometimes broken. You can use the correct side latch from a 1970-1976 Z car (not the 77-78 280Z or 280ZX!)

The late 240Z & 260Z should have a relay mounted to the wiper motor. Open that up to clean. Sometimes the wiper wheelboxes (pivots) seize up.....have you tried to rotate those.........move the linkage?

........240Z is not a threaded water neck, we have a late 1977 280Z with the threaded water neck & I think the 280ZX is same..........??

rosso, FYI the 521 vs 620 vs 720 trans cover plates each have the shifter hole in a different location. I think I have all three if pics & measurements would help! PM if wanted! TJ

Since the matchbox dizzy's are getting harder to find, we have recently started using the earlier "mag pick up" style dizzy's ie the 1978 620, replacing the big bulky remote ignition box with the Chevy HEI module..............work out great! MSD sells their own high quality HEI module, but you can also buy cheap aftermarket, made at the Wuhan Labs in China! You should also buy the OEM Chevy finned aluminum "base" that holds the HEI module. The HEI module mounts to the finned base & keeps the module cool.

The factory "captive nut" is located in the same place on the upper headliner rail for all 2dr 4dr & Wagon......the B pillar moved between the 2dr & the 4dr/Wagon, so it "appears" to be in a different place! I bet ALL cars in all countries had the captive nuts, some simply did not use them. Our USA spec cars have captive nuts on either side of the rear parcel/speaker shelf, but we never had mandatory REAR shoulder belts...........some countries did! I don't like how high that factory captive nut is, how high the seat belt pivot is, cuz it causes the shoulder belt to run across the neck..........uncomfortable! We modified two cars by welding a big nut about 4 inches down the B pillar, which lowers the seat belt pivot/mounting point, which lowers the seat belt on your neck. Seatbeltplanet sells a seat belt "anchor" kit, which I believe can either be welded in OR bolted/riveted in...........?? You can "peel" the B pillar vinyl off to look at the pillar for ideas. Pull the black vinyl door jamb "welting" away at the rear of the front door & the front of the rear door (🧐) & then carefully peel the vinyl. You can also try to do the same with the headliner, to try to see the factory captive nut in the upper headliner rail, but it is usually too tight to be able to pull it back to see. You do NOT want to cut a hole in your headliner, unless you are sure that you want to use the factory captive nut!!

If you are in France, yours could be very different than our USA spec! The USA spec 70-73 510 had a Federally mandated locking steering column, as grannyknot shows. I have seen Euro spec cars online with a different ignition switch assembly.................NON locking. Datzenmike is correct that the 68-69 510 had a simple dash mount switch that looks similar to your pictured. Does your car have the 70-73 ROUND gauges ie speedometer etc?

Ummmm, sorry, NO! That is a mental/medical issue & is sad! Had a female roommate that was bulimic (gorge then barf)...........all our food was disappearing, she would eat stuff, then disappear into the bathroom. We didn't figure it out until a year later, but it all made sense after! I prefer lean or slightly thick, no "big" girls for me............😉

FYI all 2dr 4dr & Wagon are the same, however, there are TWO different styles of lower rocker trim. The original had stamped ends that were rounded. The later had square cut ends with a black plastic "cap". You should post which you are trying to match for the other side! Apparently Zcar Depot sells the mounting clips. Good luck!

Google Datsun 1200 White Zombie. That car was built YEARS AGO, but was also a very successful drag car, spanking many other conventional fossil fuel cars! I'm sure there are quite a few EV swaps out there, in all sorts of vehicles, documented online. The way I see just about any powertrain swap, is you can use pretty much ANY existing vehicle, in your case a 620, & just apply the "mechanics" of adapting EV & of course, the longevity of a properly built conversion. LOTS of fab work involved, no matter what you decide to do! Good luck with the project! 😎

FYI for anybody looking at that 520 camper, if I am not mistaken, the front hubcaps are the early production 1970 240Z caps with the "D" canter cap. All of the later 1970-1978 Z caps had a "Z". If they are, they can be worth $250++ each to an early 240Z guy! I can't see if there are the same caps on the rear..........??

Come up to Denver, I have stock 521 steelies. You can send them out for widening, then you can run stock caps & fill out the fenders better! I also have three 8in wide chrome reverse steelies (I'm keeping 2 out of 5 that I have) with patina.......use on the rear! Likely came off of a Chevy or ??, so no way to "snap" caps on. I might try to weld on 3-4 "bungs" to mount caps..............

Keep an eye on the various Colorado's craigslists, as there have been two 620 campers in the last 6 mo's! If in Denver area, happy to check out for you. Where in Maryland? I grew up in Silver Spring. Wonder if David Weitz in SS has any leads on a camper? Do you know him? TJ
