  1. Do you still have the door pulls? If you could get a closer picture I am interested in them. Mine on the B210 are cracked and the foam is rotting out.
  2. Indeed, that black grill looks amazing on the first volvo. I'm just waiting for the leno/transformers kick to die down, then maybe I'll look for a 510 again :P Any more progress on the truck? I want to see those titans on something :)
  3. Thanks Laecaon. Izzo- If I had 8k I would have found a 510 4dr. As it was I'm cheap and don't make much money, so I bought a B210 4dr :P
  4. I want to swap to a one piece driveshaft, but I don't know of any shops that will do a good job around Macon. Anyone local have any input on shops? I would be willing to go to Atlanta if the work and price is orth it.

  5. If I can't find a 510 for sale (once I get the money) I think I will get a volvo or old boxed BMW. Gotta say though, that Volvo is beating the BMW right now. What model is that?
  6. That manifold looks interesting. He stated the it could be used for fuel injection later on, but I would think that instead of cutting a $700 manifold, you would be better off designing one for fuel injection. Just incase I mis-understood him, I sent him a message asking if the manifold was designed for fuel injection and, if so, what style injectors was it designed for. Pretty sure I won't buy one, but having the info may help others who do decide to buy one.

Looks like you have a lot of work to do. Should be a fun project though. If you scrap that red cab can you see how difficult it would be to remove that metal that the hood brakets mount through? The PO of my 620 let the hood fly up at highway speeds one day and the hood mounts ripped through the top of those holes in the firewall. Also, is that a bench seat I see? Whatcha doing with that :)
  8. This is an amazing project Wayno. I have seen a few of your creations linked in other threads but this is the first of your threads that I have had the pleasure of looking through. Can't wait to see it completed.

AHAHA! Here we go. This thread just got awesome(er?)
  10. ^ datzenmike advice = best advice. If you really feel that you need help with it I would go to bonvo. He has done amazing work in his build threads.
  11. I'm jealous of that bed. Mine is rusted through in spots, has the rear driver's panel completely smeared with bondo, and has some butt cancer... Sand the bed and seal it before it gets worse imo, they are hard to come by.
  12. So, I keep getting some interesting looks. Can't figure out if its "Hey, look at that old truck" or "Man, hope that POS doesn't break down in front of me"...

If someone calls it a piece of shit, the manliest thing to do is start a whiny thread about it.

I get looks and smiles when I'm driving my Datsun. Not sure if they're having a fond memory or they think I'm cute or they're laughing at me. I get a kick out of watching a flurry of people trying to get out from behind me in my rearview like I was driving too slow. It's LA! The traffic ain't moving anyway!

  13. Different vehicle but same situation: A local mechanic was going to charge me $200 to replace all of the top end gaskets, head gasket included, and set the timing back on my 95 civic. All I had to do was provide the gaskets. This was two years ago. Looking at my L18 vs my old civic engine, the L looks a lot easier to replace. I would check with a different shop or see if someone on Ratsun will help you out.
  14. Thanks for the input king bee. I should get around to working on this this weekend, since it is supposed to be a wonderful 75F weekend. I ordered a hitachi rebuild kit, fuel pump, and oil filter from rock auto. Had the get the most expensive oil filter cause it was the only one besides Fram from the same warehouse, not that $5 is really all that bad. The fuel tank is cleaned and coated, ready to be reinstalled. Going to pick up new fuel and vacuum hoses and clamps all around. I have an extra fuel filter from when I installed the weber on my truck, accidently ordered two. Still need to get plugs, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket (going to drop the pan), air filter, and a wingnut for the air cleaner. Is the hose that comes from the exhaust to the front of the intake needed? Mine was cut off by the PO and my truck doesn't have it either, but my truck never had the stock carb. The hose I am asking about comes from the exhaust manifold. It is silver and looks like a dryer exhaust hose for a house. Reference shopping list for this weekend: Valve cover gasket Oil pan gasket Spark plugs Air filter Fuel and vacuum hoses Wing nut for air cleaner (anyone know the thread?) Fuel cap Radiator cap Oil (best weight?) Carb cleaner Also, how hard will it be to remove the oil pan while the engine is in the car? Not sure how much room is under there for removal.

Amazing work Indy. Can't wait to see what you do/chop on this one
  16. Haha, awesome. That made my eyes bleed a bit but burnt some time from work :P
  17. Very nice B210. I see dogleg shift knob  Wish my plastics were in that shape. My center console is broke, as well as the shell around the steering column. Very nice find indeed :)
  18. I'll settle for a golden toilet seat. You take paypal?
  19. Wow, how did I miss this... If you get a chance to grab another set for the 620 I would be interested.
  20. I have never looked at old volvos but this car is amazing. I may have to buy an old euro soon...
  21. So the vibration is getting worse in the 620. 45-65mph has horrible vibration now, but faster or slower is fine. I have a feeling that I need to get the B210 going ASAP.

  22. Grats on the new find Adam. Look forward to seeing you not wreck this one :poke:
  23. Can someone please lock this... I keep seeing it bumped and look for panels, then I remember this is a three year old thread...
  24. What in the world... That thing is tiny. I kinda want to strap that to a lawnmower...
