Here is some info I found on the head. Love the 1200 site :) H89Oval-port Closed-Chamber was fitted to A14-powered B310 Coupe and Sedan in the JDM market (but not to Van (wagon). C120 came with A15 engine and H89 head. Closed-chamber is a non-emissions controlled head (no EGR). It is sometimes called "High Compression", but the compression is about the same as the open chamber (H72) head -- the compression is controlled by the piston dish, not the head. H89 head on the A15 in my B210. Trying to find info on the head but not having much luck.

Looks like the engine came from a C120? That is the only A15 with an H89 head. It is closed chamber.

H89s fit on all a15s, wether it came with one or not.

Yea, I was told this engine was imported so I figured it was the c120 one. however, the manifolds are not c120, so maybe they used the old a14 manis? Still need more research.

Hitch - Great guy and awesome seller. He contacted me with a few projects and we made a deal on a green B210. Best part, it actually has a title! That is kinda unheard of in Georgia :P Guys be sure to check out the woody wagon he has for sale if you want a 210 wagon. It is a real beauty.

Following this closely. I am supposed to get a B210 tomorrow that has an A15 swapped into it and this project looks like a great option for a sleeper. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the megasquirt setup works out for you.

Looking forward to getting the B210 tomorrow. What would you guys do for a car that sat for 4 years? I was thinking replace all hoses, clean fuel tank, replace all filters, new fluids, plugs/wires and try to crank it. Am I missing something?

Drain and change gas. Check and replace cracked hoses. New filters, change oil/fluids. Plugs and wires are likely fine. New battery too.

I'd probably pull and look at the plugs since it's easy and see if the engine turned over by hand. Compression reading would be nice also.

Thanks for the advice. I'll see about doing a compression test. Maybe my uncle has the tools needed, or I'll pick up a checker from vatozone. Didn't even think about the battery... Might be pretty important.

Yea, I discussed it with the hiring manager. Pretty much my lack of personal relationships within the company was the reason I was passed over. Sadly, I have only worked on odd shifts for the past 4 years so building relationships with upper management is a little more difficult. Trying some new strategies for the future.

Thank you. Those look pretty good. I will still hold out till April to see if anyone on ratsun has one. Just want to give someone here a chance to make some money rather than a company :P I am now in the market for 2 sets. The B210 I bought has no side mirrors and I still need a set for the 620.

This popcorn thread. In all reality I wish I could stop watching this when it gets bumped, but I keep having some hope that there is either progress, or that the car has been killed with fire. This thread is 70% as entertaining as insomniacs :P

Go back to work today. Very anxious to see if I got the promotion or not. If I did I have a feeling next wekend (my b-day weekend) will be a very eventful time :P

Well, I haven't gotten anything done on the truck due to being really sick, but I did pick up another Datsun. It will be delivered by the 24th. Pic courtesy of the previous owner :) I did pick up some tires for the truck and I'm getting ready to refinish the steelies. Just have to bust the bead on the old dry-rotted tires.
