Stoffregen Motorsports
Do a google search for generic POR15 or something similar. I know other paint products utilize the same properties as name brand POR 15 and are a lot less costly. I can't remember any brand names, but I looked into this years ago and found a few other products that do the same thing. Quote Link to comment
jagman
I use Zero-Rust. You can paint over it after 30 days cure time just like any other primer. 2 Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Picked up a dogleg 5 speed a few weeks ago. did some deep cleaning. Changed the front and rear seal with factory Nissan seals. Painted the front cover. 3 Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Also got some parts back from powder coating. Made some custom t/c rods. Fresh poly bushings for the control arms from suspension techniques. Cleaned up the ball joints and installed factory boots. The original boots were hard as a rock. Previous owner also swapped for 14mm ball joints score! I should’ve taken before pics but you guys know how old suspension looks lol. 1 Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Welded up this haggard garbage that somebody used sheet metal shears for a 280 ZX trans sense a dog leg is going in. 3 Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Came across this item at Harbor freight. My brain started getting creative. So I thought I would give this a try for the throttle cable conversion. Turns out it is the exact same size as the whole for the hole in the firewall. 7 Quote Link to comment

DARIN 510
Made this little guy today. Took an old 240z shift knob and lathed down the center part of the shift pattern. It was horribly cracked. Found a guy on eBay that makes 3D gel stickers. Here is the expired link of the item if any of you are interested. https://www.ebay.com/itm/394472781683?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=botATqInRc-&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=BS1r6XtJR9S&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY 5 Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Worked on the seat upholstery the past couple days since it’s been raining. Mrfiveoneoh was nice enough to give me his old ones. Still working on the upper half. Quote Link to comment
iceman510
Lots of wrinkles. Maybe try pulling the cover tighter at the rear metal rail when hog ringing it. Quote Link to comment

It is used so I can only get it so good. It’s good enough for this car. Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Finished the upper half today. A lot better than what it had. The very top is separating at the stitching. I might throw some random stitches at it to kind of keep it together. 2 Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
The first two pictures are supposed to be swapped. The car came with the blanket on it. And the blue upholstery was what was underneath it. 1 Quote Link to comment
