Looks so good. Great color choice!!! Hope to see it in person this year if there are any shows....
  2. So I finally have a few updates on this car. It will be headed to Utah soon to complete the metal and paintwork. In the meantime Eric has been finishing up a few things that I have wanted forever.... For those that don't know the GT and GT-X models of skyline had rain gutter trim....in order to have the trim there were notches on the rain gutter in the corners that allow you to install the trim. The GTR model did NOT have trim because that was added weight.....my goal is to make this car as close to R specification as I can so I wanted to add material there prior to paintwork. In addition I had already gifted my trim to a close friend for his restoration. Basically there was no going back............ Here is a before picture: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr And here is the magic.....incredibly difficult work...... 3. Washed the car again. And just purchased a rebuilt carb with air cleaner 🙂 I really need to get to work because I could likely have this car driveable in about an hour or so lol Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr
  4. This is the steering wheel I will be putting in once I am done buttoning up the dash and wiring. Also below is the sedan gauge set I am installing along with a factory white needle tach: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr On a side note a guy made this design that he sells on redbubble. May have to get a shirt or two lol Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr

  6. I know it has been a while (so much going on with family and work and covid blah blah blah). Because I am changing this car to a JDM spec sedan the biggest thing to do was swap out the wiring harness. While I had the interior out I decided to go through and clean things up before it went back together. Overall I did not have any issues other than some vinyl peeling away so I hit it with some more spray adhesive and got things buttoned down. I am still surprised at how clean this car turned out. I am going to miss it SOOO much! 7. I took the z to a meet in Sacramento last week and hit a big roadkill.....it was gross. Busted my front lip and did some dents under the car. Since I need to order a BRE lip for my coupe I will likely tack on a new z spoiler. 8. Here are some random pictures over the past 10 weeks. Been enjoying this car a bunch. Done a few rally's and a bunch of cruising including errands, commuting, and some meets: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr
  9. Finally. I have located a person to take on the project. Hopefully will begin in the next month or so. Still collecting parts....
  10. Yep. Call me crazy. My experience has been its cheaper to build plus with all my parts hoarding and collecting I can make the car I actually was planning to make with the sedan.....while the sale of the current car will fund the finish of the body/paint on my skyline. For the most part YES. The ultimate for me has always been hako and coupe, since the Fairlady found me I revised my thinking to keep all 3. If the green sedan gets a good price I will try to keep my OG 69 2 door then I will have the complete garage: 1. Hako GTR tribute - safari gold 2. 1800 SSS Coupe - cactus green 3. Fairlady Z - monte carlo red 4. US spec 510 - alaska white To be honest I built SHAKOTN exactly how I wanted a coupe so this car will be close to identical. ALL the proper badging, trim, etc. The only difference will be the body pushed out 1/2" more to clear the new Watanabe Gotti 15x8.5 -6 wheels 😳 For the name - even the plate will stay with the new car so it will be SHAKOTN.....not sure how I will distinguish lol Sound like we'll be TWINS. sweet.
  11. Thanks Draker! These are the lights that will be going on the car. I was able to get a complete set that needed work from James and then sourced NOS lenses and one NOS frame from Craig. THANKS JAMES AND CRAIG!!! For as nice as this car is I can't put crappy parts on it. Needs to match the rest of the car. Looking forward to the new look. Need to clean up the center garnish and the left frame along with my JDM grill. I have some work to do for sure: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr
  12. After all of my cement work was done the car was in desparate need of a bath. I think this is the second time I've washed it since purchasing 18 months ago. Looking forward to driving it soon.
