Draker
Remove hitachi, throw it off a cliff. Build fire, throw it off the same cliff relative to the location of the carb. Bolt on weber adapter plate with gaskets, bolt on weber. Install choke cable Install swiss cheese plate if not already installed on carb, install throttle cable, Adjust cable appropriately. Install fuel line to carb. Turn key. Brap, brap. Profit. If it's an electric choke or otherwise.. I dunno off the top of my head. RTFM. 4 Quote Link to comment

racerx
So U don't tighten too much. That adapter can get warped when tighten too much. Happened to me already and will cause vacuum leaks 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
What I need a torque wrench for?? Any sealing surface always gets torqued. Always. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
The HF torque wrenches are actually really good wrenches. Cheap and pretty accurate. Every tool box needs a torque wrench. Hell, one in each size. For what you plan on doing currently-1/4"(inch pounds) is the way to go. Quote Link to comment
Busta Nut
Mine's built in like this guy................ 5 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That looks like popeye's arm. No way that doesn't need to be calibrated. 1 Quote Link to comment
d.p
Haha nice, and I got a torque wrench already, bought it when I did my head gasket. Craftsmen mechanical 1/2" drive but can buy 1/4 and 3/8 too if needed. 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
you can use the 521 cable pull sytem from the Hitachi. I relocate the cable and rill a new pass thru. or use the new system weber has. Quote Link to comment
racerx
D.p. as noted earlier, you should YouTube, it will show step by step. Set up can be for a different car but very similar hook up. Try it. Of people post pics, it will not show step by step. Quote Link to comment
d.p
Word but I like talking to you guys about this stuff too much. I got a video of it on a mazda b2200 pickup which is close enough but a video is only one way. ( ) Quote Link to comment

d.p
What do I do with the threaded hard line from the dizzy to the hitachi? I don't see anywhere on the new carb to connect that?? There is just a nipple on the Weber in that area. And what about the 4 wires on the stock hitachi,, so I just move those parts to the Weber or do I just tie them off? https://flic.kr/p/VTJC5T https://flic.kr/p/URJKhv Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Ok the hard line is the vacume advance... the Webber has a nipple so just connect the weber to the dizzy with a rubber line.... The electric stuff from the hitachi doesn't matter anymore with the weber... disconnect and leave with the hitachi... Quote Link to comment
