Dolomite
Stem Cells is looking good these days, a whore becomes a lady(ish). Can't believe how far we brought that pig back. For the record, I was talking width, not length. Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
A flat blue would look good IMO Quote Link to comment
Dolomite
It has to be a light color so the Datsun sticker James got for it pops, and blue will show too many imperfections, and there are too many blue 510s out there. I suggested blue at first but after his list of no's, I see what he means. I'm rooting for the flat orange pearl, it'd look sick as fuck and pop like a mofo in direct light. 1 Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
This bitch is going low sheen bamboo tan :) I have the gallon O color and figured out how to get it low sheen. It was $120 for the flatting agent. But got a hot rodders secret 2 Quote Link to comment

Dolomite
I had a helluva day. After fixing a slight issue on my car on the side of the road, I managed to start blocking the tail light panel on stem cells while Rob had at the roof with a da. After getting the tail light panel done, I drove James into town to buy pizza and alcohol. On the way back my car started acting up and sputtering, barely made it back to datsunville where it died and had no spark. I went back to blocking the left quarter and started thinking about potential fixes. Long story short Cody and I pretty much worked on it all afternoon and came to realize the aftermarket super coil was bad and we put a '78 200sx unit in and the bitch fired up and got me home. fisch
I like that you are going gloss inside and matte outside. In my paintings I am obsessed with varying surfaces. Sometimes exposed metal, sometimes engraved metal, sometimes matte, some spots glossy, all coupled with solid oil painting. I find the contrast brings more visual interest. In this one the background and the skull are all engraved exposed copper. Heck I'd even think about glossing the center recessed areas on the trunk and hood of this 2-door. Or just the roof. 7 Quote Link to comment
