To get the ball rolling.... Hope you have the 240sx KA as it's the better for wiring the EFI with. The EFI wire harness is separate, unlike the D-21. Also the 240sx has the front sump oil pan to allow for the rear steering linkage on your 110. Drive shaft will need shortening and a modified tranny mount, relocated shifter hole.... I assume the car is already a standard??? Bigger rad, re-located motor mounts, high pressure EFI fuel pump

 

Having said all this... have you even given any thought to how you will get this car stopped??? You will need some serious brake and suspension up-grades if you value you life and your car. The KA is going to add maybe 150 extra lbs to the front end and over double the hp to the back end. This is a recipe for trouble.

ya the datsun is a 5speed but the trans on the ka24de is a auto . i have had this lil car for about 2 years just setting in my yeard and i have wonted to put a biger motor in it to make a toy for the track and then i come acrose the ka and with help from my frands we got it and got it here just got the motor out of the 240sx and now am going to start workin on the datsun soon just trying to find out as much about it as i can i have posted in like 3 or 4 other nissan sites about it to but this site has been the most helpfull stuff in it so thanx i will try to post up sum pics of the car and the motor thats going in it soon

lol i new you guys would spot them in ther yes its a 60 sumthing datsun truck in the back and the other one with the camper on it is to we just got that one they both are my dads tho i only got my hands on the car from him and my brother lol i dont no what they have in store for thos trucks yet but yes im shoure i will have sum ? about sum other stuff win i start to get the motor in my car and i will keep you posted with new pics and info thanx :cool: on another note dont really no what i need to do 1st on the car its a good thang i am ok with body work and paint be cus i have a lot more body work on the car then what i thout i would have. and it needs shocks on the frunt and back they are both bad

i was just about to comment that it looks to be in rough shape but you say you got it covered :D good project i know there is a guy on here s@ntos had a 1200 with a ca18det in it running all s13 suspention in the front if i remember correctly he was trying to sell the car dont know if hes still on here but he could probibly tell you a few things for your swap if its anything like a 510 you will need to flip the crossmember to clear the oilpan from what ive seen on here

ya i have a i can do a lil bet of body work lol me and my dad did all the body work on my 1966 tempest and it turnd out good so i thank i can handle the lil dents in the datsun the bad part is the rest on the back and the flore pans in the car are rusted throw but we can get all that took care of only thang im going to have turble with is gettin that big motor in it lol :cool:

Hi 71datsunb110, how's your project coming along? KA24 in a Datsun 1200 is a great swap, fairly easy to do.

 

Braking, even with stock brakes will probably be no worse than what Japan got (drum brake 1200s). All the USA 1200s had disc brakes. Yes, it's a good idea to put better brakes on it, but the stock disc brakes are on a par with your typical muscle car brakes. In other words, not up to modern standards, but not too drastically far behind. A Datsun 1200 with wide front tires and extra 150 lbs up front will probably stop just as fast as a stocker with skinny tires and stock engine. For best safety, update your brakes. Fit airbags. Fit anti-lock brakes. Fit door guard beams. In the meantime decide how far you want to take that.

 

Which part of Mississippi are you in? I was in Tishomingo county this past summer, didn't see a single Datsun. Except one Z-car.

sorry i have not been on here in a while i was getting ready for surgery and sum other stuff . but now i am back home and on the rade to getting well agin i had the y gastric bye pass done so the ka 1200 has been put on hold for a bet but i still in tend to get it in ther its goingto be my drag car but befor i stoted missin with it i gat the motor just setting in the car now we have a bigger pobblem we thank we are going to have to cut out the fire wall so it will go all the way done in ther is ther any way of getting around this that any one would no of if so info would help and any no about the ac delete on a ka . thanx guys sorry for being gone for so longe

The 1200's are already front sump so thats a plus :D Yeah there is no way in hell the auto will fit.... Nissan auto's are so damn big! I say get a 5 speed :D You shouldn't have to cut the firewall, there are guys with SR20's in 1200's with no firewall mods. Build some motor mounts and find a slim radiator. If your drag racing a s13 trans would be the best, but I think a NAPZ 5 speed trans would be much easier to fit since the shifter is so much smaller.

ok all you guys with the 510s that put the ka24de in them . maby you can tall me how diffrent the 1200 i have and the 510 is how much more room in the engin bay is ther in the 510 and are the mounts close to the same as the 510 ill post more pics up win i can of my ride soon its been on hold for a bet but still on the top of my list to get down befor the summer gets here the bigest thang right no is getting the motor to fet with out cutting the fire wall lol i really dont want to have to do that i dont have the money to geta 5 speed right now so as of now im stickin with the auto trans i only have 300 in the car and motor so far so its still a cheap projet right now .
