flatcat19
use the wedge from the 521? Can't. The rubber is all wrapped in the metal frame for the light. The rear light of the 620 is angled though. I will go swap them over later today. 2 Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
I got a phone call from Kevin. Given the context, I didn't want to ask too many questions. The two of you have me scared. Years ago, Kevin was at my house complaining about his "NISSAN OHC" valve cover. Xmas time was coming. I asked him what his least favorite color was. Days later, Kevin was gifted a John Deere yellow "DATSUN OHC" cover-just for being rad. In case anyone was wondering where that yellow VC came from he was rocking a while ago. 3 Quote Link to comment

DanielC
That style of side marker light was used on several different years, and models of Datsuns. The only two differences are the rubber base, and the length of the wires. And the rubber base can be used on a model it was not designed for, if it is close to holding the lamp lens vertical. . 1 Quote Link to comment

I figured that out. Wanted to save the 521 base; too much rust though. The rear 620 base may work but the 620 front on the 521 looks quite alright-so I'm gonna keep it for now. I just now realized the wire length was different. And I brought home no electrical tools/supplies. Tomorrow. 1 Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
I hate the Tri-Cities. It gets so hot through the day time. If you want to do any work at all outside you have to wait until night. At my house though, that is a big issue. For I only have the single porch light... That was about a half an hour ago(8:05PM). But thanks to the wonderful world of CL... BOOM! Yay, this guy. $20, NIB. Now that I have light at night, when it is comfortable to work, I was able to do this... 1 Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Threw away the hood pins and put in a 620 latch? Ding! Ding! Ding! Kinda. Nothing about the latch assy. bolts on. Maybe its a early/late kind of thing. The spring/striker its self does though. Needless to say, WTB new hood. 2 Quote Link to comment

Perhaps I should've make that clearer in the beginning... ^_^ I don't recall it being particularly difficult, but it I may be forgetting... 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Oh, now I remember. Used 620 bottom half, but then I took the pin from the 620 top half and put it in the 521 top half. 1 Quote Link to comment
